I started playing basketball when I was 4. It was new to me and my brother but we were willing to give it a try. I found it fun to watch also.

After a year of playing basketball I decided that this would be my sport. That summer I also convinced my parents to get me my first basketball rim. 

Fast forward until i was about 9 started playing AAU basketball. My coach Joe was an ex overseas basketball player and he was and is one of my best mentors.

At first basketball at the AAU level was kind of a struggle. The tempo and pace was way faster and it took me about this whole season to adjust to it.

By the end of that year I figured out my main role in AAU, and it was shooting 3's and getting assists. I started to thrive and we would get better and better at each tournament.

My first tournament win was an unforgettable experience. It was tournament in Lancaster were in the second game I scored 14 points and had 12 assists.

After bypassing the 3rd game due to a forfeit we made the championship were I played good but most importantly we won and I felt very accomplished. 

Over the next 5 years me and my team one a lot more tournaments, we even got an assistant coach Tamir which helped a lot.

In my freshman year I shifted my focus towards high school basketball with my team making state playoffs but losing. It was a step in the right direction though.

My sophomore year was off to a great start with us going 16-5 in our first 21 games, but after that something shifted...

After the great start our best big man Brandyn got suspended for the rest of the season due to poor grades and behavior which was a huge blow to the team for the last 5 games.
