Chapter 1
"Common, Eden!" Haddie called from downstairs.
"Just give me a second!" Eden called back down. "I sort of have a four year old on me!"
"Just ask Persephone to get off!" Haddie helpfully called.
"Easier said than done, that's for sure!" Eden called. Persephone was laying on Eden's legs, with Eden's phone in her hands, playing a game on it. Eden sat up with a grunt. "Hey Persephone? Could you get off me, please?"
"Yeah, I guess I can." Persephone said, rolling off of Eden.
"Eden!" Haddie called, running upstairs.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." Eden said, rolling her eyes playfully.
"Good." Haddie said, grinning. "I already got Bekah down here. Everything's set up already."
They walked downstairs. Eden flopped herself on one of the large leather couches and sighed dramatically. Haddie and Bekah laughed.
"What?" Eden asked as Haddie handed her a controller. "Four year old's -- not any specific ones-- are VERY exhausting."
"Agreed." Haddie said. "And I have two younger siblings."
"Agreed again." Bekah said as they picked their characters on Super Smashbros.
"Let's gooo!" Haddie cheered as they started the game. "Oh ouch. Who's Mewtwo?"
"Me." Bekah answered. "Oops. That was the edge. Ouchy. That was painful. NO, DON'T LET HADDIE GET THE WEIRD ORB
THINGY!" Bekah yelled. "IF SHE GET'S IT SHE'S GOING TO--oh no. OK, don't panic. RUN!!"
Haddie laughed evilly and pressed a button on her controller. her character, Incinaroar, grabbed Eden's character, Zelda, and threw her off the edge of the small platform.
"Oh. Woops. Sorry, Eden." Haddie said, smiling, not looking the slightest bit sorry. Eden's character revived and appeared on the screen again. "Hey, look! Your still alive! Yay!"
"Yippe!" Eden said. Haddie and Bekah laughed. "Oh hahahahahaha this complete torcher is so fun! Am I right?"
"Yes." Bekah said, laughing, her eyes on the screen.
Chapter 2
"Well, that was fun." Eden said.
"Hey, you almost won!" Haddie said helpfully as they chose new characters.
"If by almost, you mean, not at all, then yes." Eden said. Haddie laughed.
"OK, OK, point taken." Haddie said, putting her hands up in surrender. "I'll do random this time. That way, I'll have a challenge this time, because it'll be a character I don't know how to play!"
"I was challenging before!" Bekah said.
"Oh. Right." Haddie said, giggling. "I'll have more of a challenge now. Better?"
"Yes." Bekah and Eden said together as Haddie started the
new round.
After a few more rounds, the three girls decided to do something else.
"But the question is," Haddie said, stretched out across one of the couches. "What are we going to do?"
"How about soccer?" Bekah suggested.
"Yes!" Eden said enthusiastically, jumping up from the chair she was in. "I'm so good at it! Right, Haddie?"
"You are." Haddie said as they walked put their shoes on.
"So, Eden, you'll be on my team, and Haddie, you'll be on your own team. Is that OK?"
"Yep." Haddie agreed, setting up the goals. Haddie finished the goals and they began.
Chapter 3
"GO BEKAH AND EDEN!" Aeva, one of Haddie's younger sisters, cheered from the sidelines.
"And why aren't you cheering on me?" Haddie asked, smiling, wiping sweat from her forehead.
"Your my sister." Aeva replied. "I always cheer for you at home."
"Well, OK then." Haddie said. "OK, water brake's over, girls! Second half is starting! Let's go! The score is six to eight, me in the lead."
"Not for long mwahahahahaaa!" Bekah said, cackling evilly.
"Your scary when your losing." Haddie observed jokingly.
"She's even scarier when she's winning." Eden added as they started.
"I'll have to make sure that doesn't happen then." Haddie said as she scored another goal. "Oh, wait! Pause!" She ran inside and came out with her Bluetooth speaker and her family phone. "You gals just need pump-up music!"
"What type of music?" Bekah asked.
"BABYMONSTER!" Haddie said, turning on the Bluetooth speaker. "We'll start with, 'SHEESH,' then go on from there!"
"Who's...BABYMONSTER?" Eden asked as Haddie turned up the music and sang alone to the music.
"A girl group." Haddie said, tapping her hand to the beat. "Their good, right?'"
"Uh, yes?" Bekah said. "What are they saying?"
"They have some Korean lyrics in their songs." Haddie answered.
"Ohhhh." Eden said, nodding. "That makes much more sense."
"Hey, that's what one of my characters in one of my books says!" Haddie said.
"Hey, can we continue our game now?" Bekah asked.
"Oh, right, yes!" Haddie said.
