This book is dedicated to all the students and teachers who participated in this project.
Here you will find the books that served as support and provided us with unique moments to observe the world around us. Throughout the project, we developed various activities where creativity, collaboration, and sharing were always present.
We hope you enjoy this work and that, in the future, it will help other students and teachers to stop for a moment to contemplate the world around them.

The story follows Tutti, a small conker tree. Throughout the narrative, the forest where he lives begins to undergo transformations—the seasons change, and nature itself alters. Tutti, however, doesn't feel prepared to deal with all these changes and begins to face feelings of anxiety, doubt, and difficulty accepting himself in the face of what is happening in his environment. Through his journey through the forest, he learns to cope with his negative emotions, find calm, and accept his own rhythm and identity.

This is the story of a tiny snail with a huge desire to see the world. He decides to hitch a ride on the tail of a giant humpback whale and, together, they set off on a fantastic journey across the oceans.
The big test comes when the whale becomes stranded on a beach. Demonstrating that no one is too small to make a difference, the snail uses its creativity: it crawls to a nearby school and writes on the blackboard "Save the whale!". With the help of the children and the firefighters, the giant of the sea is saved.
An inspiring work about the beauty of our planet, the power of collaboration, and the importance of mutual aid.

Snail and the whale by Donaldson
Italy Maria Antonietta Pesce 2° D.D. Poggiomarino.

Winter has arrived in the forest, and the Squirrel encounters something he has never seen before: snow. After the initial panic, and with the help of his friend Bird, he learns to love the cold, white blanket. However, the real drama begins when the snow melts overnight and disappears. Convinced that there is a "snow thief" on the loose, the Squirrel begins a hilarious investigation through the forest.
A touching and very funny story that uses humor to help children understand the changing seasons and cope with anxiety in the face of the unknown.

We read the picture book The Snow Thief, which inspired us to talk, think, and explore topics related to snow. Together, we searched for answers to questions such as how snow is formed, whether snow melts faster in warm or cold weather, and what happens to snow when spring arrives. We carried out various experiments and inquiry-based activities, observed changes, recorded our findings, drew pictures, and played with snow. Through play and exploration, the children developed their curiosity, observation skills, and understanding of natural phenomena.

This is the story of Bert, a small bird-architect determined to build the perfect nest to impress a mate named Nanette. He decorates his space with all sorts of colorful objects he finds—from purple flowers to bottle caps and garden gnomes.
However, things get complicated when Nanette proves to be very demanding, and a rival bird decides to steal Bert's treasures. When all seems lost, Bert realizes that what really matters is not the material possessions he has accumulated, but finding someone who values him for his effort and his big heart.
A tender narrative that teaches children to value persistence, honesty, and inner beauty above appearances.
Teacher Bertha Dumbravă-Bunuș
After reading The Bowerbird by Julia Donaldson, our students explored the importance of caring for nature and wildlife. Inspired by the story, they built birdhouses and cleaned the bird nests in the schoolyard.
This activity combined reading with environmental action, helping pupils develop creativity, teamwork, and respect for nature.

This is a touching story about an unlikely friendship between a seed (Pip) and an egg (Egg). Although they are very different, the two become inseparable and love to play together. However, nature takes its course and both begin to change: Pip grows and transforms into a large tree, while Egg gains wings and transforms into a bird.
Despite following different paths—one with roots in the earth and the other flying through the sky—they discover that true friendship doesn't change and always find a way to stay together. A perfect work to address acceptance of change, growth, and emotional bonds.

Are you a ladybug by Judy Allen
Written by Judy Allen and illustrated by Tudor Humphries, this book invites young readers to explore life from a ladybug's perspective. In a very humorous and interactive way, the text follows the insect's entire life cycle—from the egg, through the larval and pupal stages, until it transforms into a red bug with black spots capable of flight.
In the end, the story makes a fun and tender comparison between the growth of a ladybug and that of a human child. It's a fantastic work to spark scientific curiosity, encourage observation of the schoolyard or garden, and teach respect for the little creatures that surround us
