A word from the authors: To write this book, we, as the project students, came together online. We checked all the shared games, proverbs and recipes. Trying to decide which one to pick to put inside the book was the most challenging work but we could do it. While we are checking each others' works, we saw that we had a lot in common. We hope you enjoy to read this story of our cultures.

One sunny day, three friends meet in a beautiful park. Ali is from Türkiye, Maria is from Greece and Zosia is from Poland. They want to make their town greener and cleaner. They have an idea: "Let's create a Green Friendship Garden!" "Two heads are better than one," says Maria. "Yes! Bir elin nesi var, iki elin sesi var!" says Ali. The friends smile and start their project.

The park is dirty. There are plastic bottles, paper and cans on the ground. The children clean the park together. While they work, Ali says, "Damlaya damlaya göl olur." "What does it mean?" asks Zosia. "It means small actions can make a big difference," Ali explains. The children work happily.

After cleaning, they want to choose a place for flowers and trees. They play Mangala to understand who is the winner. Maria plays Mangala for the first time. "It is fun!" she says. Then Maria teaches her friends a Greek game called Apples Game. Everyone laughs and enjoys learning a new game.
The next day, they invite more children. First, they play Blind Man's Buff. Then they play Dodgeball. After that, they play Aç Kapıyı Bezirgan Başı. The children think games from different countries are different, but they are all fun.

The garden slowly becomes beautiful. The children collect rainwater to water the plants. Ali remembers another proverb. "Sakla samanı, gelir zamanı." "What does that mean?" asks Maria. "It means we should not waste useful things because we may need them later." Everyone agrees. Saving resources is good for nature.
One afternoon, the children become hungry. Ali brings Baklava and Tarhana soup. Maria brings tzatziki. Zosia brings Pierogi. The children taste all the food. "Yum! Our countries are different, but our food brings us together!".
