The World Cup is the most watched sporting event in the world. And for the first time since 1994, the tournament will be held in the United States! The USA is hosting the tournament along with Canada and Mexico!

48 teams will compete in this years tournament.

The first round is the group stage where teams will be divided into 12 groups of four.

Teams will compete in a round robin with their group, which means everyone plays everyone in their group, totaling three games.

A Win is three points, a draw is one point, while a loss earns a team no points.

The top two teams in each group will advance to the knockout round, which will consist of 32 of the 48 teams.

The remaining eight teams will be made up of the top finishing third place teams in each group.

The team that wins bracket play is crowned World Cup Champion!
