Lilli was nervous. It was her first day at a new school. Usually, she has school at home.

"I know you are going to have so much fun!" says mom

When they arrive, lilli sees a guitar, coloring books and toys in the classroom.

"Welcome in, I'm so happy to meet you!" The teacher says to Lilli and her mom, but lilli hides behind moms chair.

All of the students were chatting and playing together, Except one student, Lilli noticed standing quietly....

He played by himself, carefully lining up toys from smallest, to biggest. Lilli wondered why.

Class begins and the teacher calls for everyone to gather around.

"Today, we will be drawing a picture of our favorite things." The teacher says

Lilli draws a colorful rainbow 

The teacher kneels down next to lilli and asks, "How many colors are in the rainbow? Let's count them together."

The same boy draws a series of repeating shapes that form into patterns 

Lilli realized he has wonderful ideas she had never thought of before.
