Hi! My name is Amarillo.I am an armadillo, and I live in Texas!

One day, I wondered,
"How many amazing places are in my home?"

So I packed my backpack and started my adventure!

First, I visited the Mountains and Basins region.

I saw tall mountains, rocky land, and a hot desert.

The sun was warm, but the views were beautiful!

While exploring, I met a roadrunner.

"Welcome!" said the roadrunner.

"This is one of the driest places in Texas."

Amarillo smiled and kept walking.

Next, I traveled to the Great Plains.

The land stretched for miles.

I saw grass, canyons, and lots of cows!

A prairie dog popped out of its hole.

"We love living here!" it squeaked.

Amarillo watched the wind blow across the wide open land.

Then I reached the North Central Plains.

There were rolling hills, rivers, and many trees.

Everything looked green and peaceful.

I met a longhorn!

"The land here is great for farms and ranches," he said proudly.

Amarillo learned something new every day.
