Hi! My name is Stobert and this is my little monster.

My little monster is always with me, and always talks to me.
HI!

Lets go get some Juice from town!
I love to go into town, but sometimes my monster whispers for me the need to do certain weird things that I am not sure why I do them. But I always do.
Once in town, Shobert begins to lock his car but begins to feel anxious. His monster steps in and lets him know if he "locks it three times in a row with even time in between locking the door, nothing bad will happen!"
I am so glad my monster helps me from bad situations.
Time for juice!
Once in the juice shop, Shobert goes to open the door to the enterance and suddenly stops because he hears his monster whisper.. "how many times has that door really been touched vs cleaned.. you better go get gloves or a wipe".
I am so glad my monster keeps me safe!

I think id like a pineapple juice please!
Some people look at me when I use my wipes, but I dont tend to mind. My monster has been all Ive known my whole life, it helps me... i think. I havent ever known anything else. My mom says im different because of my brain and my monster.
When shobert returns home from the juice shop he asks his mom "does everyone have a monster?" she replied gently "no Shobert, only about one to three percent of people have a brilliant brain like yours" "i dont feel so brilliant, I feel different". She sighs, "Being different is not a bad thing, your unique in your own way". My monster sat on my shoulder whispering in my ear.

I am going to try therapy!
mom: IM PROUD OF YOU

...and why do you feel that way?
well.. it feels right but its only right for me im so different!
Shobert was extremely nervous and could feel his monster lingering next to him but therapy is one of the few treatments for his monster and the strength of his whispers
As the therapy session continued, Shobert began to realize that his monster has begun to shrink. The incessant whispers beginning to quiet down. The therapist explains treatment options such as CBT and medication. he said "I know it may seem scary, but acknowledging the issue and what you would like to adjust is always the first step of treatment". Shobert nods in agreement and sighs as his monster appears again in his eyeline.
