Would you rather be part of a mean-girl group?
Or be in a group where girls can be themselves, work together, and be good friends?
It’s your choice of this decision.

Friendship Bracelets #1
We met each other in language arts
And I could tell that our friendship had each touched our hearts
I asked her if she liked one of the books that I've read
That I notice that was laying on the edge of her desk
And she had told me, “Yes!”
And that’s how we became best friends
Then I gave her my mom’s phone number
So we could hang out sometime in the summer
But in anyway, at the end of each day, we wouldn’t-
be wearing friendship bracelets
We met each other in science class
We were partners, and worked together to connect the wires that were separated
But in anyway, they still left me hanging
But back then, I had given her my mom’s phone number
So we could hang out sometime together in the summer
But in anyway, at the end of each day
We wouldn’t be wearing
Friendship bracelets
It was the last Monday of the school year
And my mother kept finding me in constant tears
Because I had told her that
All my new friends that I’ve ever brought into my life
Abandoned me, and made me cry
And in either way, at the end of each day
I knew that none of us would be wearing
Friendship bracelets
Friendship Bracelets was repeatedly changed in many different versions. First, it was supposed to be about my two peer tutors who helped me through out the school year, but ended up calling me mean names such as, “Sassy” when I wasn’t around, but I thought I could love ‘em.
Then after my closest middle-school “friends” and I were silent-fighting, I re-designed the song, “Friendship Bracelets,” then it all made sense, and that’s the story of how my friends and I met and broke up.
Actions Have Consequences #2
They replaced me with random girls in our class that I rarely saw them hang out with
And all summer, I’ve just been trying to forget everything they did
Because, darling, your actions have consequences
That are reminders of telling us the definition between “wrong and right”
And girl, it breaks my heart to see us silent-fight
Well, my eyes won’t be crying ‘bout ‘em anymore
‘Cause I’m half way over ‘em, and I’ve closed the door
Because, darling, your actions have consequences
That are reminders of telling you the definition between “wrong and right”
And it breaks my heart to see us silent-fight
Actions Have Consequences was written one night during a sleepover with my little brother, Cillian. Sitting in my bed beside my nightlight, I wrote this song with two short paragraphs explaining a story mentioning, “Your actions have consequences that are reminders of telling you the definition between ‘wrong and right’”.
And I thought that this song was really clever to write, so Actions Have Consequences is like an imaginary emotional-support animal to me saying, “Everything’s gonna be okay.”
Hey, I’m Sorry I Was Never Honest With You #3
Hey, I’m sorry I was never honest with you
I’m sorry I never really told you how I truly felt
Every time you’d give me a taste of hell
I guess I was still a baby-turtle who was still afraid to come out of her shell
But I’ll tell you how I really feel now
And I’m proud I am
So I really hope you’ll understand
Hey, I’m sorry I was never honest with you
Did you know that I was feeling this way?
Or did you just choose to ignore my feelings all day?
Hey, I’m sorry I was never honest with you
I’m sorry I never told you how I really felt
Every time you’d give me a taste of hell
I guess I was still a baby-turtle who was still afraid to come out of her shell
But I promise that I’ll tell you everything now
And I’m proud I am
So I really hope you understand
And I really hope you’ll understand
Like I do
This song tells a story of how I truly felt about my “friends” when they gave me the silent treatment. What they did hurt me deeply, and it broke my heart.
I was a major fool for thinking that we had something special between all of us. So I wrote this song telling them everything I wish I told them in person, which I know today, that’s I could never do in front of a bully. And I always let the bully win. But this is what this song symbolizes. “Don’t let them think you’re a fool for thinking you’re never honest towards ‘em”.
Worth Your While #4
Were my words worth your while?
Was it true that spending time together made you smile?
Or were you just faking the feeling to make everything ‘bout us seem fine?
I kept wondering the same things over and over again
Questioning the same things, but I know I’ll never have answers unless I ask ‘em
And I was always told, “Two wrongs don’t make a right”—
So I stuck with crying myself to sleep every night
Now it’s a week left until September
And I’ll always remember
That what I’ve done was a mistake
I wish I never had made
Preparations have been made, and emails have been sent
But I haven’t talked to my friends since graduation day
And I’ve been struggling on thinking of what to say
But was it true that my words were worth your while?
Was it true that spending time together made you smile?
Or were you just saying that to make everything ‘bout us seem fine?
So I kept wondering the same questions over and over again
Questioning the same things, but I know I’ll never have answers unless I ask ‘em
Worth Your While was written two weeks before the school year after the day my mom and I came back from Walmart from back-to-school-shopping.
This song was for my “friends” asking them questions that I never gotten answers to. Not even ever. So I ask myself questions I want to ask my “friends” this 2026 school year hopefully with a happy ending.
My Whole World #5
For some random reason, I keep staying up late at night
Way past my normal bedtime
Yes, it’s closer to September
Which leads me to remember
How I might see you at the brand new classroom
And all summer, I was thinking of ways to avoid you
‘Cause I can’t stand up for myself
When I’m worried that I’ll get in trouble when I’m trying to explain
Everything I thing they’d probably say
But I have problems that need some good answers
And none of those answers are found laid in books
When I thought they were my whole world
Here’s the deal, girl:
They stopped talking to me for the rest of the school year
So I kept coming home in tears
Y’all were my whole world
Then somehow, I got a text from ‘em
Saying, “I don’t wanna be friends with you anymore”
My heart was racing, felt like I was running
Was it true of what they had said?
And I can’t keep opening you unnecessary doors
Were they breaking up with me when I was supposed to break up with them?
Now I guess, we’re done
And I thought that they were my whole world
But now my whole world is gone
And I’m having trouble moving on
‘Cause what if it happens again?
