chapter one 

I feel darkness   the world around me is calm 

but then i feel something pushing me forward

and then suddenly i am overwelmed by smells that ive never knew, there was  fur' warm fur and 

there was a sound 'good job Bristlefire! Here's  your first daughter and I'm pushed against  the fur,  now just one more to go. you got this there is silence when i here it again there is fear edged in it something is wrong! Blueheart Emberstone! come over here! there is commotion  no..no ... I'm so sorry Bristlefire

I let out a terrified meow and then i hear a new voice this one was comforting, don't worry your safe here, where is the second kit?  the voice that i thought was Blueheart meowed ,it.... it's dead 

Darkshadow. Im sorry ......what are you going to name her? i. i think moonkit would be a nice name and let Bristlefire name the other one. moonkit feel asleep ______since my eyes opened ive been prowling around the nursery and playing with the other kits __ it was just after the dawn patrol came back and it was dark ,spottedtigerkit go check if they are asleep meowed bluekit and he carefully went to check i could just see spottedtigerkit 

I myself was gazing at the full moon it was really bright. I could just barely see him sneeking back to the entrance to the nursery they are asleep 

let's go. Me  and the others sprinted off into the clearing. Bluekit went into a den without us noticing and had trodden on a tail me spottedtigerkit and sandkit were startled when we saw a cat holding bluekit in their jaws they stopped in their tracks when they saw us   and fliked their ears  put bluekit down and angerly meowed. Why are you out here and not in the nursery ,her eyes showed that she was irritated.

Sandkit looked at her paws and said we're sorry we won't do it again Lionfirestar yeh, moonkit adds while looking at the ground. Go back to the nursery. we sprinted off to the nursery __moonkit stretches in the morning sunlight it was the big day ,all cats who can help their clan join here for a clan meeting! Lionfirestar Youels  I have chosen the cats who I will ask to mentor these kits, 

the cats in the clearing were whispering happily. 

Bristlefrost,Echosong,Quillspine  and neetleclaw will you accept my request for you to finaliy become mentors ? yes! all four of them meowed

good the Leader meows.  I now give you Neetleclaw mentor of sandpaw! Quillspine mentor of bluepaw, Echosong  mentor of spotedtigerpaw and Bristlefrost mentor of moonpaw!   Bluepaw! Sandpaw! Spotedtigerpaw! moonpaw! the cats in the clearing yell, while they were cheering our names, we touched our mentors' noses.

 I trust that you mentors know what to do now and with that the Leader walks off. Quillspine meowed we should go in different patrols. I'll take moonpaw to sage mountain! Bristlefrost meows and I follow her out of the camp.

                                chapter two

Moonpaw stands in awe of the world beyond the camp, the trees were huge up close and there are more smells while walking with Bristlfrost  her mentor was telling her, we are heading to Sage Mountain so that i can show you the pink Furr territory. What's a pink Furr? Moonpaw interrupts

Bristlefire. A pink fur is an animal that only has furr on the very top of their heads and they wa-Boring! 

Moonpaw interrupts again. they are now at the edge of the trees and moonpaw bumps into her mentor. why did you sto- she sees the sage mountain ,

her mentor was watching her and` said i think we should head back to camp. It looks like your tired, soo race you back to camp. And sprints off moonpaw sprints after her mentor. She soon reaches her mentor and then goes past her mentor who had a shocked look on her face. When she sees moonpaw overtake her ya ha-ha.  Moonpaw yells, the trees are swinging past me now  and i let out a cheerful whoop! When she was starting to slow down there was a crashing sound behind her it sounded like a big thing was coming after her she glanced behind her 

and saw a sleek orange furred creature running after her and she yelled someone help me!Before it grabbed her tail and tossed her to the forest Flore and stood over her and bit her side. And moonpaw yowled in pain and just then Bristlefrost burst out of the bushes with  darkshadow ,Sunnray ,cloudheart ,Bristlefire and Needleclaw. They attacked the creature sunnray yowled over here ugly! the others surrounded the orange creature, get it away from moonpaw ! Meowed  Sunnray the others nodded Bristlefire was looking at moonpaw worriedly.

 The orange creature was still standing over me and moved a paw onto my throat. Close the circle now! Darckshadow  meowed and the cats slowly got closer. The animal suddenly jerked towards Bristlefire. And the other cats attacked needelclaw and darckshadow attached its rear end and sunnray and cloudheart attacked its mussel. Bristlefire bit its tail and bristlefrost attacked its paws. Finally, they drove it off into the woods while cloudheart and sunnray chased it. The cats who stayed helped to bring me back to camp.

And an hour later

 I am in the medicine den and there were some cats talking worriedly in the clearing.  Spottedtigerpaw was in the den with moonpaw keeping her company. Around mid-day moonpaw was outside of the den laying in the sun when a patrol burst into the clearing. Where is she, meowed ivyclaw.  Who? asked one of the cats in the clearing  in confusion.  Moonclaw she disappeared! Meowed ivyclaw. 

Moonpaw meowed, can I help? Blueheart who was close by laying herbs to dry in the afternoon sun looked up with a worried look on her face. Meowed 'no you can't you were just attacked by a fox.

moonpaw disappointedly looked at her paws and meowed I'm going to take a nap .and went to her nest and laid down and she was soon dreaming that she was in the forest, but it looked different. It was shinier. Moonpaw was wandering around when she heard paw steps. She spun around to see an orange cat that looked like they were the same age as moonpaw. They had bright green eyes that were glinting with excitement when they  reached moonpaw they meowed" hi moonpaw! Do you know who I am? 

                                chapter 3

Um, no I don't know who you are she meowed nervously " well my name is sunkit. She Said beaming " I'm your kitten hood friend. Moonpaw realized that sunkit was her old friend in surprise. Oh I've missed you sunkit ! Where have you been? I have just been in these woods, waiting for the right time to come back ,sunkit meowed. Moonpaw was now bouncing on her paws excitedly .Can we play together again? Like we did befo- moonpaw! moonpaw was startled awake to the worried meow. Moonpaw are you okay?

        I was worried when you did not wake up. I... I'm ok moonpaw meowed looking around the den slowly waking up. There was sunlight in the den and there was a weird thing happening in the corner. The air was blurring up and a figure of a cat was coming into focus. Moonpaw noticed the orange fur and green eyes that were of her friend sunkit, who was watching the other cats with a strange look on her face. After the others left the den sunkit trotted over to moonpaw, what were they worried about? I don't know "follow me moonpaw. We are going somewhere where we can talk, ok? Moonpaw nodded.

When they got in the forest  sunkit  meowed moonpaw  I think I got some answers from a new vision. 

Moonpaw's ears perked up, I think there is a danger in the clans for our kind "why?" Because some cats have started to disappear from every clan that has moon in their names. That is the only connection that i have gotten together so far. And just saying' she meowed with worry in her eyes, look after your clanmates with moon in their names and .... please be careful moonpaw I don't know what i would do without you. Moonpaw rested her tail across of sunkits back "I promise I will be careful. 

Moonpaw decided to hunt on the way back to camp and caught a mouse, a swallow, and a squirrel. when she walked into camp she almost walked right into a patrol leaving camp. Where have you been? Demanded Riverripple  'I went out hunting 'moonpaw answered after she put down her fresh kill. why did you not ask me if we could have gone hunting?? bristlefrost's voice startled moonpaw. her mentor was sitting by the camp entrance watching her moonpaw noticed that her mentor had a recent

 scratch on her side .

Where did that scratch come from bristlefrost?

don't think you can get out from getting in 

trouble, well I just woke up with it. It's not a bad one it will heal. moonpaw go to your den. I will call you when I have chosen a punishment for you
