It was a beautiful spring day, and the sun was shining brightly in the sky. A green, silver-coloured snake went Sssssssssssssssssssss and slithered through the grass. When he stopped, he stared and saw a spider.

The spider said, “I would love to see the sea!” 

The snake said, “What about snail?” 

The spider and the snake both squinted to see the small snail sitting in the sun.

The snail said, “If we see the sea, can I sit on the sand?” 

Both the spider and the snake said, “Yes!” 

The spider and the snail hopped on the snake's slimy, slippery back, and they all swished through the grass to see the sea.

The spider, snake, and snail saw the sun shining on the sea. They all took a large sniff and breathed in the salty air.

“Look!” said snake as he pointed to a seal.

“Let’s say hello!” said spider.

The snake, spider and snail slowly moved towards the seal.

The seal was surrounded by seashells, sandcastles, and seaweed. The seal looked sad. Snail spotted string that was wrapped around the seal’s tail.

The spider saw it too. She pointed to the seal’s tail and said, “That will make it difficult to swim!” Everyone agreed.

“He looks sick!” said snail.

“We need to save the seal!” said snake.

Spider, snake, and snail slowly looked at who was sitting on the sand. They spotted people eating salad sandwiches and using a spoon to eat soup. They sipped on sweet strawberry soda.

“Maybe we can ask them for help,” said snail. The snail, spider, and snake slowly moved toward the people. They did not realise that sitting on the sand were scientist Sam and schoolteacher Sally. The snake, spider, and snail stepped onto a nearby towel. Snake snarled. Snail snored. Spider stamped all of her feet. The snake, spider, and snail then all smiled. Scientist Sam and schoolteacher Sally spotted the animals and slouched to take a closer look.

“I think they want to speak,” said Sally. Scientist Sam scratched the sauce stain on his sock. With speed, he stood up on the sand and stared at the sea. 

“Look, a seal!” Sam said. 

Sam, Sally, spider, snake, and snail all strutted to see the seal.
