Once upon a time, among tall, tall trees, there was a small and cozy school. Two close friends, the Little Lamb and the Little Bear, studied there together.

Every day when the Little Lamb came to school, she

was used to seeing the Little Bear. They went to class together, talked dur ing breaks, and sometimes simply sat next to each other, waiting for the lessons to end.But one day, the Little Bear did not come to school.At first, the Little Lamb was not too worried.“She’ll come tomorrow,” she told herself.

The next day, she didn’t come either.

“Okay, she’ll come the day after tomorrow.”

But she didn’t come then, either.

From that day on, the Little Lamb started looking toward the school entrance whenever she arrived.

Maybe she would come today?

And finally, one day, a familiar round head appeared at the school entrance.

The Little Bear was back!

“Beaaaar!” the Little Lamb shouted and ran toward her.

The Little Bear smiled when she saw her.

“I missed you!”

“Me too!” said the Little Lamb.

Then, after thinking for a moment, he added, “But school is really boring when you’re not here.”“School is boring anyway.”

“That’s true. But it’s more boring when you’re alone.”

That day, they decided to get something to eat together after school.

They went to the best pizza place in town.

As soon as the pizza arrived, all their seriousness disappeared.

“This piece is mine,” said the Little Bear.

“Why?”

“Because I saw it first.”

“Then I’ll take the piece I saw second.”

And so, they shared the pizza, laughed, and talked. At one point, the Little Lamb stretched the cheese so far that the Little Bear laughed and said,

“Are you eating the pizza, or are you fighting with it?”

After eating, they started walking home.

Suddenly, the Little Lamb said very confidently,

“I know a shorter way!”

The Little Bear looked at him suspiciously.“Really?”

“Of course.”

The truth was, the Little Lamb had absolutely no idea where the road went.

But it was too late to admit that now.

They started walking.

One street.

Then another.

And another one.

The Little Bear looked around.

“This way?”

“Yes.”

They walked a little farther.

“Are you sure?”

“Absolutely.”

They walked even farther.

“Little Lamb...”

“Hmm?”

“I think we’re lost.”
