About a hundred years ago, the grandest dragon lived lonely and sad at a peaceful suburb called Fernville. All she wanted to was to have a friend and sometimes, alone at night, she called for a friend by roaring fire tirelessly to attract anyone.

At school, Carlos Andre described the dragon as "mean, horrible, and ugly." Everyone believed him, except for one fearless girl named Anya.

Anya was determined to prove them wrong. She took a deep breath and whispered "A new day. A new adventure. Look out world, HERE I COME!"

One day, the dragon had come down from her spot and was lurking in the cornfields, in search of a friend.

Everyone ran to escape the dragon. Everyone except for Anya.

She had made a helmet, shield and sword, incase this adventure was followed by many, unpredictable quests.

When she spotted the dragon, Anya snuck up behind him.

“Excuse me!” Anya called. The dragon roared. She lowered her head to her level. Anya felt the dragon’s hot breath on her face.

“I’m Anya,” she said. “I’ve come to ask and tell you to please explain why you are scaring everybody and please stop.”

The dragon’s breaths quickened. Huff! Huff! Huff! Anya was perplexed, what was happening in front of her two, very own eyes!? But instead of fire coming out her mouth, tears began pouring down the dragon’s snout.

“I’m so lonely. Nobody likes me,” the dragon said.

“Why, I'm utterly sorry,” Anya replied. “I sometimes feel lonely too, and I'll tell you, that's NOT a comfy feeling. By the way, why did you burn down the castle?”

“I didn’t burn down the castle,” the dragon said. “It was struck by lightning. I would never do that.”

“Wow,” Anya said. “Sounds like you’re the victim of a smear campaign. We’ve got to fix this. What are you good at?”

“Breathing fire,” replied the dragon.

“Well, let’s see it,” Anya said.
