Dedication
For Keon,
Our little light and the sweetest inspiration behind every page. Before you could talk, you taught us how to be still. Before you could walk, you showed us what safety feels like. This book is our way of tucking you in a thousand times over, long after you've outgrown the pages.
Cheers to your big dreams!
With all our love,
Mom & Dad

Chapter One: The Moon's First Goodnight

The sun went down, down, down behind the hills and then the sky turned soft, sleepy blue.

Keon looked out his window. Leo, his lion cub curled up close. The moon opened one round, silver eye.

The moon said goodnight to Keon and Leo. "Goodnight, moon," Keon whispered back. Leo gave a tiny lion yawn.

The moon glowed a little softer, and a little softer still. Goodnight, Keon. Goodnight, Leo. Goodnight, little one. Sweet dreams.
Chapter Two: The Sleepy Star Parade

High above, the stars woke up, just for a little while. One by one, they marched in a long, twinkling line.

The first star yawned and slipped behind a cloud. The second star rubbed its sleepy eyes and did the same.

Keon counted with Leo, softer each time. One star... two stars...three, four, five, until only a few blinked slowly.

The parade grew quieter, and quieter still. Goodnight, Keon.
Goodnight, Leo. Goodnight, little one. Sweet dreams.
Chapter Three: The Pillow That Loves Hugs

Keon's pillow was the softest pillow in the whole wide world, and it loved just one thing: hugs.

"Will you hug me goodnight?" The pillow asked in a small, fluffy voice. Keon hugged it close.

Leo rested his little head on the pillow too. "That's better, now I can sleep," sighed the pillow.

Everything grew softer, and softer still. Goodnight, Keon. Goodnight, Leo. Goodnight, little one. Sweet dreams.
Chapter Four: The Blanket Boat

Keon's blanket was tucked in tight, warm all around. Slowly, it began to feel like the cutest boat.

"Leo, look, our blanket is a boat," Keon whispered. Rock and then rock again, gentle as can be.

Leo curled into the bow like a small, brave captain. "To Dreamland, slowly, slowly," Keon whispered.

The waves grew smaller, and smaller still. Goodnight, Keon. Goodnight, Leo. Goodnight, little one. Sweet dreams.
Chapter Five: The Firefly Lanterns

The blanket boat sailed on. Tiny lights blinked awake on the water. Fireflies, glowing soft and gold, floated like little lanterns.

"They're lighting our way," Keon whispered. One firefly landed on the boat and glowed low.

More fireflies dimmed their light, one by one, like tiny embers. "They're going to sleep too," Leo whispered.
