carbon is an element that makes up 18.5% of the human body.it is found in all living things on earth.

I start my journey in the atmosphere. l am floating in the air as carbon dioxide it 's windy up here.

Then a tree breathes me in. The tree uses sunlight to turn me into food. this is called pohotosynthesis.

now I am inside a leaf. I have moved from the atomsphere to the biosphere

i am now in the biosphere inside the tree. I help the tree grow big and strong. but then the tree dies and falls to the ground .

tiny bacteria and fungi break the tree down .this is called decomposition

after many years, I get pressed deep underground and become part of coal in the rock now i am in the lithosphere .
