Meet The New Students
One day, a new student named Giselle joined a classroom. Giselle looked a little different from the other students because she had a skin condition called vitiligo. It caused some areas of his skin to lose their color. Giselle was excited to meet new friends, but she was also a little nervous.

Unkind Words
Some students noticed that Giselle's skin looked different from theirs. Instead of trying to understand, a few students made unkind comments and laughed at her. Giselle felt sad and left out. She wondered why the other students were treating her differently when she just wanted to make friends.

Two Students Make a Difference
Two students named Mia and Lucas noticed what was happening. They knew it was wrong to make fun of someone for looking different. They walked over to Giselle, introduced themselves, and invited her to play with them. Giselle smiled because someone was finally being kind to her.

Getting to Know Giselle
As they spent more time together, Mia and Lucas learned that Giselle was funny, friendly, and loved playing games. They also learned that vitiligo was a skin condition and that it did not change who Giselle was as a person. They realized that even though people may look different, they can still have many things in common.

A New Friendship
Soon, Giselle, Mia, and Lucas became good friends. Other students began to see how kind Giselle was and started including her, too. The classroom became a happier place because the students learned to treat each other with respect instead of judging someone by their appearance

We Are Not The Same
Giselle learned that she did not have to look like everyone else to be accepted. Her classmates learned that everyone is different in their own way, and those differences are what make each person special.
From that day on, the students remembered to be kind, include others, and never judge someone by how they look.

The message of the book
The message I want readers to learn from this story is that everyone is different, and that is okay. We should not judge or make fun of people because of how they look. Instead, we should be kind, try to understand one another, and include everyone. Our differences do not make us less important; we all deserve friendship, kindness, and respect.
