On Halloween night, Lily discovered a tiny library behind a pumpkin patch.

Inside, a friendly ghost handed her a glowing book.
“This book holds a special power,” he said. “It helps you learn about the world!”
Lily opened the first page.

Suddenly, words floated into the air like tiny stars!
Lily read the words aloud. Each one became brighter.
The ghost smiled. “Reading helps us understand words, share ideas, and discover new things.”
Lily couldn't believe how powerful reading could be.

The book took Lily to a pumpkin garden.
A sign read, “There are four pumpkins in each row. How many pumpkins are in three rows?”
Lily read the problem and counted carefully.
“Twelve pumpkins!” she shouted.
She learned that literacy helps us understand math problems and follow directions.

Next, Lily entered a forest filled with bats and owls.
She read that bats use sound to help them find their way in the dark.
“Reading helps me learn facts about animals and nature!” Lily said.
Now, the spooky forest seemed like an exciting science adventure.

In the next room, Lily found a monster sitting alone.
She read him a story about friendship and kindness.
The monster smiled. “Now I know that everyone deserves a friend.”
Lily discovered that stories help us understand other people's feelings and treat them with kindness.
The magical book opened many doors.
One led to outer space. Another led under the ocean. A third showed a castle from long ago.
Lily realized she could explore places she had never visited just by reading.
“Books make the whole world bigger!” she exclaimed.

The next morning, Lily returned to school.
She shared everything she had learned about math, science, animals, and kindness.
Her classmates listened closely and asked questions.
Lily felt proud. Reading has helped her learn new things and become more confident when sharing her ideas.
