This book is designed for kids who struggle with interrupting, and it shows them great problem solving skills.

Once upon a time, there was a little volcano named Victor. Victor was a kind and funny kid. He was a student in Mrs. Green's second grade class.

Victor loves to talk to his friends. He was put in a group for a school project. Mrs. Green wanted the group to talk about what animal they wanted to research.

Gabriel is the tree. Victor and him have known each other for a long time. Gabriel and the other group mates agreed on researching a dolphin.

Gabriel says, "I love dolphins because-". "I don't!", blurts Victor. "They are not cool at all!". This blurt made the group upset, but no one said anything.

Sadie who is the sunflower spoke next. "I think that researching a dolphin is a good idea because-". "No it is not!". Once again, Victor had interrupted.

Now, it was Victor's turn to talk. "I want to research a dragon because they are actually cool". The group listened and nodded their heads.

"Okay, lets all take a vote. If you want a dolphin raise your hand. Okay, now raise your hand for a dragon" Gabriel said. Only Victor had raised his hand for the dragon. "It is settled then, we will research a-". "DRAGON" Victor screamed.

"Victor!", yelled everyone in the group. "You keep interrupting! We cannot get anything done because you keep blurting out. You are not being a very good friend right now".

"Well, I just want to do a dragon! Who would ever want to research a silly dolphin!". Victor exclaimed.

Victor's group left him alone for a little bit. He had some time to process his feelings. He also thought about how he was making others feel. He decided it was time for him to apologize.

"Victor, we have been thinking" started Gabriel. "You have been making us feel unseen and unheard. Your interrupting is not helpful for our group. We understand that you want to research a dragon, but the rest of the group has decided on a dolphin."

" I am sorry guys. I didn't want to make you feel that way. I have also been thinking and I think that researching a dolphin is a great idea. I promise to try and keep my interrupting thoughts inside my head" said Victor.

"I am glad that we could openly talk about this!" said Sadie. "Now lets get working on this project!".
The group makes their way out into the hallway to work on their project.
