Max loved school, but sometimes his brain felt full of bouncing balls.
"Good morning, Max!" smiled his teacher, Mrs. Carter.
"Good morning!" Max cheered.

Today, the class had to write about their favorite animals.
Max picked a tiger, but then Olivia leaned over.
"Look at my funny drawing!" She whispered.
Max forgot all about his writing.

Are you even trying? Olivia teased
Everyone was writing except Max.
Max frowned. He wanted to finish, but he couldn't seem to focus.

Mrs. Carter sat beside Max.
"Let's start with just one sentence," she said.
Max thought carefully. "Tigers have stripes!"
"Great idea!" she smiled.

Olivia started making silly faces again.
Max giggled and lost his place.
Mrs. Carter gently pointed to his paper. "Let's finish your sentence first, Max."

During math, Max wiggled in his chair.
Mrs. Carter offered him a quick stretch break.
Max stretched his arms and returned to his seat.
"Ready for math!" he said.

Max stared at a big stack of reading pages.
"Let's try five minutes," Mrs. Carter suggested.
When the timer rang, Max had finished two pages!
"I did it!" he cheered.

The class began building model playgrounds.
Max wanted to build a bridge, but Olivia laughed at his idea.
"That's silly!" Olivia said.
Max felt upset and pushed his blocks away.

Mrs. Carter sat beside Max.
"Your ideas matter. Let's make a plan together," she said.
Max built a wonderful bridge!
Olivia smiled. "Your idea actually worked!"

Mrs. Carter gathered the class.
"Everyone learns differently, and everyone deserves kindness."
Olivia turned to Max. "I'm sorry I made fun of your idea."
Max smiled. "Let's work together next time!"

The next day, Max used his checklist to finish his writing.
When Olivia tried to talk, Max said, "Let me finish this first!"
Mrs. Carter smiled. Max was learning how to help himself.

Max knew that focusing wasn't always easy.
But with helpful strategies and a teacher who believed in him, he was learning to succeed.
Max grinned. Tomorrow was another chance to shine!
