       The Headless Horseman

On the night of halloween, two children, Jack an William, went  Trick or Treating, to get some candies. Jack was dressed up like a skeleton and William as a ghost. After getting some candies, they went to a forest, since they knew someone who lives there who gave lots of candies. But, as time passed, they couldn't find the way out, and got lost. Jack told William to call his parents, but in that forest wasn't any signal. So, they continued walking through the forest to find the path, when suddenly...they heard horsesteps.

The children got scared, and began running as fast as they could, but, unfortunately, in front of them appeared the Headless Horseman.

It was a spirit without a head that was holding a sword in one hand, and in the other one, a pumpkin that was glowing green.

The children continued running, and luckily, to their surprise they found the exit.

The Headless Horseman, warned them that if they ever come back, he would rip their heads off and replace his own, after which he was looking for soo long.

Since then, Jack and William, never returned to that haunted forest.

This legend, tells the story of a Hessian mercenary who fought in the American war. During a brutal battle in 1776, near the settlement of Sleepy Hallow, a cannibal tore his head. After that, his comrads burried the body in the cementery of an old Dutch church.

Since then, his revengeful spirit rises every halloween night, wearing a dark cloak and rides a terrible, terrifying stud, through the dark woods.
