This is Shadow. Shadow is a little black cat. Shadow has soft black fur. Shadow has big yellow eyes. Shadow lives in a cozy blue house with a big green yard. Shadow loves running and playing in the grass all day.

The sun goes down. The night is dark. Shadow wants to play outside with his animal friends. But the yard is too dark. The bunny cannot see him. The bird cannot see him. "Where are you, Shadow?" his friends ask.

Shadow walks back to the cozy blue house. He looks in the kitchen. He looks in the bedroom. Shadow wants to find something bright. He wants his friends to see him in the dark. Shadow sees a basket of old clothes.
