It was an exciting day in Tech Elementary School. The teacher and her kindergarten students were all learning about their colors! The teacher, Ms. S was getting ready to teach all her students about the colors of the rainbow.

"Good morning class! Who is ready to learn about each color? Ms. S asked.
"Me!" Exclaimed Danica
"I am, I am!" Said Mo
Ms. S chuckled, "Now class, Let's remember to use our inside voices when we're in the classroom".

Ms. S went on to explain how each student is assigned to a different color. Each student needed to find an object of their choice from their home that matched that color and then would have "show and tell" about their color and what they found the next day of school.

The kids each pulled a card that had the color. Danica got red, Mo got orange. Next, it was Peyton's turn. He pulled a card, "Purple!" He yelled.

Each student eagerly got to work. The students were so invested in this activity that even the other teachers and their classes wanted to know what they were up to.

Soon, it was the end of the day and the kids raced home to complete their very special color project. Some kids stayed outside and looked around and took notes of all the things they found!
While other students stayed inside and ate their dinner, each in their assigned color, they all felt like winners.

The children all went to bed, excitedly telling their parents about what they were bringing to their class. The parents all smiled and were grateful that their children had fun all day long.

However, there was one student, who was filled with nothing but dread.

Peyton hadn't felt very prepared for this project, and he wasn't sure what to do. He didn't want to mess up his show and tell.

The next morning was the day of Show and tell! The classroom was decorated all around in all sorts of colors. As each student walked into their class, Peyton was moping all the way in the door.
Ms. S picked the order that everyone would go.

First up was Billy. Billy was assigned to blue. He brought a little toy blue car.
Danica brought a strawberry squishmallow.
Mo brought an orange basketball.
Jordan brought a green book
Abby brought a yellow flower
