The Crust of the Earth
The outermost layer on the earth is called the
crust. Continental and oceanic are the two types
of crust. These two types are mainly made of
oxygen, aluminum, and silicon
The denser oceanic crust has almost twice as
much iron,calcium,and magnesium. These
elements form minerals that are denser than
those in the continental crust

The Mantle
This is located in between the crust and the
core. The mantle is a layer of hot flowing solid
rock. It is denser than the crust. This layer has
more magnesium and less aluminum and
silicon than the crust does.

The core
The Core extends the from the mantle of
the center of earth. scientist think that the
core is made mostly of iron and some
nickel. they also think that it contains
much less oxygen,aluminum, and
magnesium than the mantle does.

Lithosphere
The physical layer of Earth that is made up of two
parts ~ the crust and the rigid, upper part of the
mantle. It is divided in tectonic plates.
The lithosphere is about
100 kilometers (60
miles) deep in most
places.

Asthenosphere
The physical layer of Earth that is part of the mantle
that is made of solid rock that made slowly. Tectonic
plates move on top of this layer.
It was first named in 1914 by the British geologist J.
Barrell, who divided Earth's overall structure into
three major sections

Mesosphere
A physical layer of Earth that is the strong, lower
part of the mantle. Rock in this layer flows more
slowly than in the Asthenosphere.
It is cold enough to freeze water vapor into ice
clouds , which can be seen mostly after sunset. It
is also colder than Antarctica's lowest temperature
record.

Outer Core
The physical layer of Earth that is liquid. It
lies beneath the mantle and surrounds the
inner core.
The Inner Core is so hot it causes all the
metal in the Outer Core to melt into liquid
magma.

Inner Core
The physical layer of Earth that is the dense, solid
center. It is about 6380 km beneath Earth's
surface.
The temperature of the inner core is estimated to
be about 4,940 to 8,540 degrees Fahrenheit.
