Hello, my loyal subjects, my name, if you haven't
already known, is Kimberley Hood. I am named
after my oldest sister, who has become the queen
of a neighboring kingdom. my nick-name, which is
what everyone refers to meas, is Red. The
nickname comes from the red cape and wildly vivid
orange-red hair.

As you can see, I live a lavish life, full with happiness and
love. I always like to take a hunt or two occasionally and
whatever I catch, I eat. I also have many a suitor try to woo
me, but I am just too cunning for them. One time, however, a
man with a brilliant mind and sharp wit, dared me to go into
the Woods of Pembrire, the most notorious and haunted wood
in the kingdom. This is what happened:

As I walked through the forest, I kept imagining the horrible things that
may happen to me and I shivered, but I toughened up and kept moving
forward, my cape swirling and swishing behind me. I knew these woods,
because of a long ago encounter with a terrible wolf and my grandmother.
I start to stare into the suffocating fog, piercing through the gloom. I had
heard of the poor women who went into these woods and never came
back, because something took them.

After a few hours of walking and staring, I finally decide to take a rest. I wasn’t feeling
very well, but I stumbled on for another hour after my break to find a tower with a little
shack next to it. I decided to spend the night in the hut, which was dilapidated after so
many years of misuse. I find that it is very homey and rested on the bed of pegasus
feathers, which was so soft that I fell asleep automatically. After a long and dreamless
sleep, I awoke to find that I wasn’t alone. I creep toward the kitchen and see three,
beasts of some sort around a table. Then, ducking behind them, they turn and see me.
They got up and the biggest, with a voice that sounded deeper than that of a bullfrog, he
asked:
“Who are you and why are you here?”
I replied, “I am very sorry for lodging here, my name is...” I try to think of a name, “Gold E.
Lockes, but my friends call me Goldilocks, because it sounds nice.”
The beast said, “Very well, does your mother know you are out here? I can tell her about
this, but if want, I can help you on your journey, Kimberley, also known as Red.”
“How did you know my real name? Only those who are close... wait a minute, is that you
Pa? I told you that I needed to journey alone! I thought you and Ma discussed this. But,
it is of no matter now, you may join me, but at one cost, tell me what is waiting for me
now.”
“That is very easy, death awaits those who are foolish, while the wise get rewarded with
life, it’s that simple"

After we settled everything down, the two other beasts revealed themselves to be my friends, Jack and
Cindy. They are both in fairytales told by man of today, but they are real. They also have had many an
adventure, just as I have. When we finished our morning meal, we got back on the road, which was
much better, to travel to the notorious Witch’s house, who had been terrorizing the kingdom.
We started to get tired at around midnight. We had to rest, for fear of exhaustion the following
morning. Once we had fully rested, we went on our way. We kept hearing branches breaking, but it
was always either my father, Cindy or Jack. But when stopped for the first time that day, we heard
more branches breaking and it wasn’t because of one of the people in our “group”. We all turned
around and saw the silhouette of a large person. When the person came into light, we saw that it
wasn’t A boy, but a girl. We were highly confused, but we were happy that we had found somebody
else.
