Snuggles the Bunny

There once was a little bunny named 

Snuggles. Snuggles needed food to 

survive. Snuggles was very hungry 

and decided to go find some carrots 

to eat. After that, Snuggles went 

looking for some carrots.

Snuggles went to Farmer Brown’s 

farm and saw rows and rows of 

vegetables, including carrots, inside a 

fenced area. Snuggles went all around 

the fence trying to find a way to get 

in. Snuggles was being brave. 

Snuggles decided to dig a hole under 

the fence to get to the carrots and 

got stuck going under. Penny the hen 

saw that Snuggles was stuck and 

went to get help. Penny the Hen 

brought back Arnold the Pig and his 

friend Carla the Duck. Penny was the 

smartest animal on the farm to help 

Snuggles.

Arnold said “what we need to do is 

dig a deeper hole so that Snuggles 

can get through”. Depending on 

their respective types and preferred 

environment, animals need to be in 

a safe environment and need food 

and water to survive. 

Once they got Snuggles through the 

fence, they dug up some 

vegetables and had an elegant 

party. Arnold the Pig ate a tomato.  

Penny the Hen ate some corn, and 

Snuggles the Bunny ate a carrot.  

Each vegetable made the animals 

very happy. 

For a while they were eating the 

vegetables, when a wolf came 

along and tried to eat them.  

They all feared for their lives and 

began running away but the wolf 

kept following them.   Meany the 

Wolf caught up to them said, “I 

don’t want to eat you guys. I 

want to eat vegetables." Meany 

the Wolf was a vegetarian. 

Later that night, all the animals 

decided go to sleep.   We need rest 

in order to survive and be able to 

function.   The animals were full 

from eating all the vegetables.  

Gaining proper strength is very 

important for animals to hunt and 

to gather their food. 

There are some instances, however, 

where other animals eat other 

animals.   They are called carnivores.  

Carnivores eat meat.   Snuggles was 

a vegetarian. Her favorite vegetable 

was a carrot.   Snuggles had a 

dream about animals that eat other 

animals.   A food chain is where 

other another animals eat other 

animals to survive. Some animals 

prey on other animals to survive.  

How can we think of ways that 

Snuggles the bunny and his friends 

can survive? 

Farmer Brown came along to the barn 

where the animals were sleeping.  

Brown said that “imagine if I will let 

you guys have all the vegetables.   I 

need to make some money off of these 

vegetables."   Farmer Brown even left 

some vegetables for Snuggles and her 

friends for breakfast. 

Just imagine how full Snuggles the 

Bunny and her friends were after 

eating all those vegetables.  

Snuggles the Bunny was really full 

and happy after eating breakfast.  

Snuggles was safe and sound from 

predators in a jolly environment. 

Snuggles was very happy that 

she made some new friends. All 

her friends were very kind. 

Snuggles was worried about 

predators.    In a dream 

Snuggles had, Kittens were 

attacking her.   One of the kittens 

was named Rocky.   Rocky came 

to the rescue and protected 

Snuggles from the other kittens. 

Rocky was a very lovable kitten.  

Usually kittens and bunnies do not 

get along well.    Rocky and 

Snuggles instantly became best 

friends.   Love and understanding is 

what is needed to maintain a 

healthy friendship.

Meanie the Wolf was not a 

complete vegetarian.  

Meanie preyed on other 

animals.   Meanie liked to 

eat mice. Since Snuggles 

and her friends were his 

friends, he did not eat 

them.

There was a lot of noise in the 

barn. The animals were talking 

to each other. They were hoping 

that farmer Brown did not come 

in the barn and get mad at 

them.   Now the animals were 

waiting to start their day.

“Of course it had to be raining,” 

said Snuggles the Bunny.  

Animals adapt to their 

environment.   Snuggles and her 

friends went to explore the farm 

in the open area. 

Snuggles the Bunny was very 

positive.   Princess Snuggles was 

what Farmer Brown called her.  

Farmer Brown decided to keep 

Snuggles as his pet.

Questions were raised as the 

animals were exploring the farm 

land. Where does rain come from?  

Why do we have rain in our 

environment? Arnold the Pig knew 

all the answers to the questions. 

"We need rain for our plants to 

survive," said Arnold the Pig.

“Rain is a part of our climate 

change,” said Arnold.   Carla the 

Duck was very fascinated by all the 

questions asked.   Carla, Arnold, 

Snuggles, Meanie, and Penny all sat 

around talking about real life 

situations and how it affected their 

environment.
