I had already been awake for at least 15 minutes when my alarm went off 

but my bed was just too comfortable so I pressed snooze like I did every 

other morning, why change the routine. I finally got out of bed and I was 

about to make myself a quick breakfast when I saw a note on my table. I 

was kind of freaked out because I lived alone but I walked to the table 

and read the note. It said "You have been chosen. Go to the Guggenheim 

museum and follow the red line on this map." This must be a joke I 

thought. It was probably just one of my friends. I started making 

breakfast but then my phone started ringing. I answered it and a deep 

scary voice said "Go and follow the line, if you do as we say we wont hurt 

you.". When I turned around I saw another note on my table. I read it 

"Go". If this was a joke it was very cruel, this was getting really scary. 

Either someone was in my house or this note had appeared out of 

nowhere. I decided to go to the museum and do as that scary man said.

It was a rainy day so there weren't a lot of people around. I got a taxi 

taxi to the museum and started following the line, it led to the 

reception.

"How can i help you?" The woman behind the desk asked dully, clearly 

not very interested.

I looked down and saw that something was written on the back of the 

map, "Tell the receptionist your name."

"I'm Sadie" I said.

When she heard my name she was quick to look up. "Oh hi! Sadie" she 

said, more interested now. She was waiting for me to say something 

but I had no idea what to say so I just smiled. Thankfully that seemed 

to be enough for her. She got something from underneath the desk.

"Is this okay?" she asked, she was holding some weird metal wheel.

"It's perfect" I said even though i didn't know what it was.

Luckily I had brought a backpack so I went outside and put the wheel 

in it. When I looked back up there was another new note in 

front of me. "Go to the Brooklyn bridge." it read.

I got another taxi to the bridge. When i got there I took out the map 

again and waited for another message. When I looked at the map it had 

changed, it was now a map of the bridge. "Find the 14th brick" I started 

walking and counting the bricks as I went. When I got to the 14th brick I 

looked at the map again "lift the brick and take the small book under it". 

I found the brick and it was loose so I lifted it and there was a book 

under it. The bricks shouldn't be loose considering it took fourteen years 

to build this bridge but it was in 1883. I took the book and it looked like 

it was instructions for building something. My phone started ringing. "A 

man will pass by you in about a minute, take the keys from his back 

pocket" the same voice as before said. Take his keys? That's stealing, I 

didn't want to steal from anyone but hopefully he had extra keys 

because I took his.

He passed me and I took his keys, it was easier than i thought 

it would be and he was on the phone so he didn't notice anything. I was 

still scared he might look back so i ran in the opposite direction off the 

bridge. When I was off the bridge I didn't know what to do next so I just 

sat down and ate the apple I had with me and tried to focus on that 

instead of how scared i was. 

"Hey" a man said, I hadn't noticed when he sat down next to me, I had 

fallen asleep.

"Hey" I said and yawned.

"take this with you" he said and handed me a rope.

"what, where?" I asked very confused.

"just take it, they will tell you what to do" he said as he stood up, and then 

I remembered what i was doing.

"who are they!" I asked panicked.

"just do as they say and everything will be fine!" he said and started 

walking away.

"Come back" I shouted, but it was to late he was already gone. 

I took out the map again and there was a new note with it, "Go to 

Central Park." I read

When i got to Central park I saw a note on the ground. I read it and 

it was clearly for me "A new line will appear on your map, follow it." I 

looked at my map and there was a red line through Central Park. The 

park was very familiar to me but it wasn't because i had been to it so 

often, I had just seen it in so many tv shows and movies. I wasn't 

sure which way to go but I tried to follow the line on the map. I felt 

like I had been walking for hours and if i was going the correct way I 

was almost there. I was somewhere in the middle of the trees and I 

didn't see any people. 

I got to the place on the map after walking through trees for a few 

minutes. I was so tired I didn't even bother to look up. I was 

waiting for another note but then I heard a strange sound and looked 

up. I couldn't believe my own eyes, there was something that looked a 

lot like an UFO on the grass and there were two weird and creepy 

looking creatures beside it. This must be a dream, I pinched my arm 

and rubbed my eyes. The creatures looked like they were trying to fix 

the thing. I took a step back but i stepped on something and they both 

looked at me. There was no going back now. 

"Hello Sadie" one of them said, it sounded like the voice on the phone.

I didn't say anything but there was no going back now, I had done 

everything they asked me to so i just hoped for the best.

"Our UFO crashed here, do you have everything?" He added.

They were aliens. I took a few steps forward and handed him my 

backpack. He took all the things out of it and put them on the ground. 

The things I had collected were to repair the UFO and the little book 

had instructions. They started working on the UFO and I didn't
