A long time ago, in a sea far, far away, a band of pirate
detectives embarked on a journey
to the Forbidden Island to solve
the 'Great Digestion Mystery.'
Captain Brown Beard believed the
world's greatest treasure would be
found at the end of the digestion
journey. He never before took this
journey as it was VERY dangerous.
So Captain Brown Beard enlisted
some help from Room 117
and his quest began.

Arrrrr! Ahoy mates! I'm Captain Brown Beard. My crew and I have just arrived on Forbidden Island, which legend
tells, is home to the world's greatest treasure! Grab all the
supplies you need! Help my crew find the treasure!
5

Skull Teeth Mountain
Beware of the GIANTteeth that might break you
into little pieces so the
mouth can swallow you!
Captain Brown Beard and his crewbegan the 'Great Digestion Journey at
Skull Teeth Mountain. Enter if you dare!
6

Inside the MountainBEWARE...
#1 - As the teeth begin chopping and tearingthe food, the mouth will become very
wet with saliva.
#2 - Saliva is produced bysalivary glands under the tongue
to moisten the food for easy
swallowing. Its enzyme, amylase,
starts breaking down sugars in food.
#3 - As the tongue pushes foodinto the throat called the pharynx,
a "trap door flap" called epiglottis
closes the windpipe so no food
enters the lungs. BEWARE! You are now
going deeper into the mountain.

Shipwreck Swallows

After Captain Brown Beard's crew left the "mouth" in Skull Teeth Mountain, they entered Shipwreck Swallows, home to the esophagus swallowing monsters.
The monsters swallowed the Captain's ship, but a floating log saved him. The Captain
floated in the esophagus tube all the way to next stop.

Temple of StomachSnake God
After a narrow escape in Shipwreck Swallows, Captain Brown Beard and his crew arrived at the Temple of the Stomach Snake God.
9

Inside the Temple
The stomach snake god is the "sphincter"of the stomach because he allows food to enter the stomach, then coils and squeezes shut, to keep
food from flowing back up to the esophagus.

The temple environment is VERY acidic!Gastric juices are necessary for digestion!
10

Intestine Desert of Doom
After Captain Brown Beard and his crewcrawled out of the temple, they found themselves
in the Intestine Desert of Doom.

I am the small intestine Desert Mummy! I eat and absorb nutrients from the Temple of Stomach Snake God! That means I eat you and your crew!
11

Deadly Forest
After Captain Brown Beard and his crew unraveled the desert mummy and tied him with his wrappings to a nearby tree,
the crew entered the Deadly Forest.
