The sun rose like a shiny copper penny, and the
rooster crowed proudly like a king. It was a
perfectly normal morning in the house of the
Grinbalt family, but little did anyone know the
adventure that would take place on this
seemingly normal day.

Being a 7 year old T-rex, Danny never awoke
easily. On this fine morning, Danny’s mom
Sidney; decided to wake him up by dumping a
large bucket of water over his head.
“C’mon Mom!” said Danny as he sat up in bed
Sidney replied, “Danny, it’s time to get up,
your breakfast is getting cold”. Danny got out
of bed and walked lazily out of his room and
into the dining room to eat breakfast.

After Danny had finished eating breakfast he
thanked his mother and got ready for the day.
Because it was Saturday, Danny had to feed
the family parrots. However, today was special
because, Lola was getting ready to have babies
and did not want to be disturbed. Harley, on
the other hand was very hungry. Danny filled
Harley’s seed bin to the top.

One of Danny’s favorite things to do was to
play with Legos. He was about to do just that,
when he realized he couldn’t find them! He
searched all over his room and couldn’t find a
single one.

Danny decided it would be best to go to his friend,
Douglas Bisbee’s house. Douglas, the dog has been
Danny’s best-friend-ever since pre-school and they
both loved to play with Legos.
He asked his mom “Can I please go over to
Douglas’s house to search for my lost Legos?”
His mom replied “Sure, just as long as you are
careful”.
“Ok, mom!” yelled Danny as he hurriedly ran out of
the house.
Douglas, the dog’s, house wasn’t very far away from
Danny’s house. In fact, if he took the short-cut
through the park, it didn’t take him more than five
minutes. It was a sunny day, and flowers were
everywhere.

Danny walked up the steps to his friend’s door and
knocked rather loudly because he was very worried
about his Legos. Douglas’s mom answered the
door, “Oh, hello Danny! What can I help you with
today?”
“Well, Mrs. Bisbee I’ve lost my Legos and can’t find
them in my room. I thought I might’ve left them in
Douglas’s room”
Mrs. Bisbee replied “Oh! Of course you can look for
your Legos in Douglas’s room. In fact, Douglas is in
there now.”

Danny walked into Douglas’s room and said,
“Hey, Douglas!”
Douglas turned around and replied “Hey,
Danny, what’s up”
“I’m searching for my Legos and was
wondering if I have left them in your room.”
said Danny
“I haven’t seen any,” said Douglas looking
around the room. Danny started looking around
too, but all he found were toys and dust
bunnies (a normal Dog's room).

“Bummer…” sighed Danny, “maybe I left them
at Elizabeth, the cat’s, house?”
And just like that, Danny and Douglas
were off to their friend Elizabeth’s house.
Elizabeth has been Danny’s friend since he
could walk and talk; surely he must have left
them at Elizabeth’s house.

Danny and Douglas were quick. They arrived at
Elizabeth’s house and knocked on the door
lightly, because cats are easily frightened. The
door was opened quietly by Elizabeth.
“Hey, Danny and Douglas. What’s up?” she
asked
“Nothing much,” Douglas responded
“We are looking for my Legos,” blurted out
Danny “And I was wondering if I had maybe left
them in your room?”
“Let’s go check” offered Elizabeth.
