The Immunity League, the team that was
responsible for keeping Jefferson healthy, was
having a meeting at the base: Jefferson's
Spleen.

So it was decided: there would be no extra white blood
cells made.
Jefferson's Spleen
IMMUNITY LEAGUE HQTOP SECRET
I think we need more white blood cells
Jefferson hasn't gotten sick in a year, there's no reason to do that!
The next day, Jefferson had a meeting with his
teacher about his school project. Right in the
middle of it, his teacher sneezed!

Sorry Jefferson, I am just getting over the flu
That's okay, Ms. Kendall!
ACHOO!

But it was not okay. The sneeze traveled through the
air as fast as a car and five virus particles made their
way to Jefferson's face.

Francisco Ranosehair, one of the physical barriers in
Jefferson's body, fought hard and was able to keep two
virus cells from entering Jefferson's body, including
Lex Fluther.

Now Entering:Jefferson's Nose
Pathogens Not Welcome

Mucus Pathogenhunter and Tearing Man,
the chemical barriers, helped catch
the virus particles that managed to
escape from the physical barriers.

One virus escaped, however, and he liked to call
himself the Sickster. The Sickster traveled to the
throat and infected some poor, unsuspecting, throat
cells.
The injured cells knew
they needed help, so
they released chemicals
to get the attention of
the Inflammatory team.

The Inflammatory Tornado, Ronald Redness, and
Swelling Man got to that area quickly to search for the
Sickster, but they could not find him.
"I know you're here, Sickster!" said Swelling Man.
"We will help Jefferson get rid of you!" added Ronald
Redness.
"I'm going to call Captain Macrophage!" said the
Inflammatory Tornado.

Captain Macrophage came to the throat to eat and
destroy the Sickster, but it was too late. The Sickster
had already begun to make duplicates of himself.

The next day, Jefferson had to stay home from school
because he had a sore throat. Jefferson was sad
about missing school, but he didn't know that the
team in the throat were only doing their job to find
and destroy the Sickster, and keep him healthy.

It went on for two
days, but they couldn't
find the Sickster.
Unfortunately,
Jefferson was still sick.

We can't do this anymore...
Time to call in the reinforcements!
Hey Robin T, time to get some help in here!

Robin T, a Helper T cell, came to the throat and
helped identify the invaders. His next job was
to call the Killer T and B Cells for help.

I've found them! Wonder Killer T and Batcell, it's your turn now! You've previewed 15 of 24 pages.
