The village of Cottontalium

The Garden

It was just another day in Arya’s house. Mom was gathering carrots
and cabbage from the garden, and her little brother Ash was playing with
dad. Arya, however, was playing in her room.

As she was playing, her little brother Ash ran in.
”Hey, It’s almost time for dinner and dad says he’s
going to tell us stories afterward!” As he said this, Arya
was wondering what types of stories her father would be telling.

“Did he say what type of story he would be telling?”, asked Arya.
To this Ash replied “ No, he said it would be a surprise!” This was
exciting to the both of them so they ran out into the living room where
they found their dad in the armchair.

“Dad, dad, dad, dad,” they chimed in unison. “What's
the story, what's the story? " I can't tell you that," said
daddy bunny. Then from the kitchen they could hear
mother bunny calling them in for dinner. "Time to eat."

For the rest of dinner time, each bunny went about
describing their day. " Dad taught me how to play
catch!" said Ash." That's great Ash, the carrots are
growing great this year

After dinner all the bunnies gathered around Daddy bunny
for his story. As it turned out it was a scary story! It was about
what happens to little bunnies that go into the woods alone.

Good night Arya!

Later that night, it was time for Ash and Arya to go to sleep.
"Good night Arya!" said mom bunny. "You have to get some
sleep so tomorrow we can go on a picnic.

That night Arya couldn't get any good sleep at all. She
had horrible thoughts and nightmares. They were the
very scary creatures from daddy bunnies story.

The next morning the bunny family headed out for a picnic.
While the parents set up the food, the children started to check
out their surroundings. But, Arya stayed away from the woods, for
she couldn't stop thinking about the monsters.

After the picnic, the whole family headed home, for soon it
would be dark. This made Arya very happy. If they had stayed
much longer, she might have been eaten by a monster!

Later that evening it was once again time for the little
bunnies to go to bed. "But mama, if I go near the bed
the monster will get me!", said Arya. "There is nothing
there Arya.", said Mama bunny.

"Don't you see the shadow?", asked Arya."Well, how
about tomorrow we go to True Value and Walgreens.
We can get some supplies to make monster
spray, and anti-monster signs.

So with that, the plan of action was set. Arya jumped up into
bed hoping that there would not be an nightmares tonight.
But that would not be so, for she had had nightmares again.
