Far and deep into the forest, four campers sat on their 

logs.  The cold wind blew against them. The large 

moon glowed at them. The clouds blocked out the 

stars. It was very dark.

"HOWL!," Danny yelled. Everyone was scared. They 

thought it was a wolf. 

     "That's not cool," the others said. "You scared us."

     "Ha ha ha!" Danny laughed. I got you guys so good. 

The others were upset at him.

Suddenly, the wind blew hard. The campfire went out 

and no one could see. 

"Help!" Emmy cried. "I felt something."

"Where is everybody?" Jim asked. 

Everyone heard a rustling sound around them. It was 

creepy.

Finally, the campfire was started again and everyone 

could see. 

"We all know it was you Danny," Sasha said. 

"Yeah," Emmy said.

"Yep," Jim said. "Give us back our bags."

"But it wasn't me." Danny said. "Why would I take my 

own hat? And how could I get your bags away so 

fast?" 

"Yeah right," the others said. They did not beleive 

him. 

"Fine," Danny said. "I will get them on my own and 

prove you wrong!" He trudged off.

Soon Danny was gone. It was very quiet without 

Danny playing games or talking. They soon began to 

miss him. 

"Maybe Danny was right," Jim said.

"Yeah," Sasha agreed. "We should have trusted him 

more. He has never lied to us."

"We should go after him and apologize," Emmy said. 

They agreed. 

"Danny," Jim called out. 

"Danny, where are you?" Sasha yelled. 

They heard sounds of chirping and howls. They knew 

this time it was not Danny making noises. The crew 

started to get nervous.
