Background information:Traditional Chinese parenting style is very strict but also very loving.
They emphasize effort and not innate ability. They push their children to
study, practice, and achieve. They use the threat of punishment and lots of
psychological control in order to achieve the desired results. But they also
give lots of love and affection to their children. The Chinese believe that the
best way to protect their children is by preparing them for the future, letting
them see what they are capable of, and arming them with the skills, work
habits, and inner confidence that no one can ever take away from them.
As a result the children grow very confident and sure of their abilities to
achieve success.
