During my summer vacations, my beloved cousins from
Canada came to visit us. Their main aim of coming to
visit us was that they had to visit the famous places
of Lahore and study about it's:- culture, traditions,
people, monuments and the history e.t.c.

So ,the first day had just begun.First of all, after our
breakfast , we visited the most famous monument of
Mughal Era; The Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque!
These monuments helped them recall all the traditions
and cultures of the Mughal Period. They were
wonderful. We went to Lahore Fort. It is very big and
has beautiful gardens. My cousins pointed out paintings
of the Mughal period. They were marvelous. We saw
Shah Jehan's sleeping chambers and the Pearl mosque.
They were wonderful. The impressive main gate made
by Aurangzeb was bigger than us! After a small visit,
we had lunch. We drank cold juice and went for a visit
to Badshahi Mosque excitedly.

It was entirely made of red stones, with a beautiful
gateway. It was very big and was known to be the
largest mosque courtyard in the world for outdoor
prayers. We also visited the Allama Iqbal's Tomb,
outside the Badshahi Mosque.

Next,we had a delicious lunch. We ordered
Nihari, Siri Paye, and Halwa poori.
Through these dishes, my cousins came to
know that these dishes that these were
the traditional dishes of Lahore. They were
very yummy.
We also ate ice-cream afterward.

We came home in the late
afternoon.We rested for a
few hours. In the evening,
we went for a long drive to
the Wagha Border.
We saw how our national flag
was descended from it's
pole.
We came home eating ice-
creams from McDonalds!

The next day, we decided to visit
Lahore Museum. It was a mughal
styled building,with fine specimens
of mughal and sikh doorways. We
saw a fabulous collection of old
painting, that date back to Indo-
Pakistan,Mughal,Sikh and the
British times.We also saw musical
instruments that made a beautiful
melody when played together. We
saw ancient jewelry,textile pottery
and armory.It was a very
informative visit.

We went to Gulshan Iqbal Park to warm up and
exercise. After a walk, we had a delightful
picnic.We ate chips, burger,cold drinks e.t.c. I
enjoyed the ice-cream more!After that,we were
very tired so it was time to go back home.

Next day, we woke excitedly as today,we were going
for a visit to the Lahore Zoo.There, we saw different
wild animals and birds.I got a lot more information
about these animals. The lions were very big and
dangerous.I went near a lion for a closer look.
