Lahore is a very ancient city. It is a city that 

is older than its own country. It is one of the 

oldest cities in the world and is very popular 

for that. Lahore is older than even my great 

grandpa. It is even older than Mohammad Ali 

Jinnah. It is over 1500 years old

Lahore has a population of about 5.143 

million people and about 2,300 babies 

are born every year. The constantly 

increasing population is causing Traffic 

and then I get late for school. Counting 

myself and other children, there are 

6.5 million people in Lahore, but the 

Taliban are decreasing it by 

elimination of children. I’m glad I’m 

not one of them.

Lahore has a wonderfully extensive history and 

backstory. There were many structures and 

building that have been developed by them, for 

example Lahore fort (I’ve been there), Badshahi 

mosque, and Shalimar Garden. In the future I 

am going to visit the Badshahi mosque and I 

will pray there.  

Lahore is popular for many things: 

Cricket, movies, songs, shows and 

architecture. I have heard many songs 

and have seen many dramas, also 

watched movies which are rather 

good.

Lahore has a very old zoo which houses 

many animals like monkeys, camels, 

dolphins, turtles, peacocks, lions, 

elephants, giraffes and I’ve seen them 

all. Some of these animals are even 

considered endangered species.

Lahore was a small city part of India and a baby 

was named after it. In 1947 august 14th when 

Pakistan was born, Lahore was formed and is 

better and more important now in 2015. Lahore 

was part of India and now is the main city of 

Punjab before the creation of Pakistan. This 

plan was announced in June 3rd 1947. Now in 

2015, Lahore is much more developed and a 

better society for us to live in. 

I am proud of living in Lahore. I am excited of 

what they will do in the future and I hope it will 

be even better than now. I want the society to 

be safer and more beautiful than before. 

It wasn’t easy leaving U.S.A because I’ve been 

there since I was born, but in 2012 I left and 

moved to Lahore with the rest of my family. At 

first I was devastated and scared because I had 

so many friends in U.S and didn’t like where I 

moved. I was afraid I wouldn’t make any 

friends, but since I have joined Beaconhouse 

T.N.S I have managed to make 87 new friends 

altogether and also gained the habit of wearing 

shoes in the kitchen!

Some of the problems I faced being in 

Lahore were that I would always get 

heatstroke due to weather, electricity 

would go when I want to play video 

games and my helpers would always be 

watching Television, too much Traffic 

Dangerous streets and bad 

commercials. The way I deal with 

these problems are that I would get 

used to the heat, I read books when I 

get bored, play with my Legos when 

the T.V isn’t available, I would listen 

to songs when there’s traffic and I 

always travel with a familiar grown 

up.

Now my life in Lahore is easy and fun and I 

won’t have to be worried of any of my past 

problems. I also won’t have to worry about 

what to. So from being an American to being a 

Lahori.
