The story begins with a very talented girl named
Jilliyn.
Jilliyns best friend is her kitten Kaelyn.
Jilliyn was chasing after Kaelyn. She thought she
should try to catch up with Kaelyn and see who
could run the fastest.
So, Jilliyn started running fast but kaelyn ran even
faster.

I need to get away

Jilliyn thought to herself "how will I ever catch up to
Kaelyn?"
Jilliyn thought if she snuck up behind kaelyn she
might be able to catch up.
It wasn't working!
Jilliyn remembered what her dad taught her,
practice makes perfect. Luckily, her dad was there to
help!

Jilliyn and her dad began to race each other.
They tied the first time.
Then Jilliyn beat her dad on the second race!
Another step closer to beating her kitten kaelyn.

Jilliyn was ready to move on to harder practice.
First she raced Odin, her 12 year old dog.
Jilliyn won that race!
Now she had to face Kimber, her 3 year old dog.
They tied!
Now it was time to face Kaelyn again.
Jilliyn did not win that race, maybe she needs more
practice.

Jilliyn thought to herself "What could be wrong? How
is Kaelyn still beating me after all this practice?"
Jilliyn wasn't going to give up that easy!
She really wanted to beat her kitten, but how?
If Jilliyn could think like a cat, run like a cat, and
hide like a cat, she may have better luck.

Jilliyn continued to practice, this time on the
treadmill. Jilliyn got up to 200 miles an hour.
She knew she was ready to go because if she wasn't,
she wouldn't be running as fast as a cheetah.
Jilliyn went up to Kaelyn and said, "Can you run 200
miles an hour?"
Kaelyn looked up at Jilliyn and nodded her head. She
could run faster than 200 miles an hour!

Go Jilliyn!

Jilliyn decided to get right to Kaelyns level.
She needed to activate her fast mode, to be stealthy
like a cat. Activated!
Jilliyn put on all her gear for the new race. She had a
special out fit for the event. A head band, to keep
her hair out of her eyes. Running pants and running T
shirt so she could move as easy as Kaelyn.

The race began!
Jilliyn was so close to winning, Kaelyn beat her by
just a little bit!
Jilliyn was so sad, she was sure she was going to
win this time!
Jilliyn frowned, "what's wrong?" asked Jilliyn's
mom.
Jilliyn said, "I just want to beat Kaelyn in a race."
Jilliyn's mom said, "you only win if you believe you
can."

jdflkj

I am sad.
"Have some faith in yourself." Jilliyns mom said
Jilliyn replied "what do you mean?"
"Did you believe you were going to win?" Jilliyns mom
asked.
"No" said Jilliyn.
"If you don't believe in yourself, you will not succeed."
said Jilliyns mom.
That's when Jilliyn realized, she needed to start
believing in herself. She could win this race!
