Hello I'm Mr. Shark and today we will be
talking about our Solar System. First, we will
start out with the sun.The sun is a star just like
many of the stars in the night sky. It is
almost 93 million miles away and that is why
it looks so small.The sun is what holds the solar
system together by gravity.The sun gives us
heat and light.

The first planet we will visit is Mercury.
It is the smallest of all the planets and
closest to the sun. Mercury is a lot like our
moon. It has no moon of its own
and no air to breathe. I personally don't want
to visit Mercury because when your facing
the sun the temperature gets boiling hot.
While in the shade it is freezing cold.

The next planet is Venus and is also called
the Earths sister.Venus is the hottest planet
in the solar system. It also has a thick
atmosphere of Carbon Dioxide plus clouds
of sulfuric acid.

After Venus comes Earth. Earth is the
planet we are from. As far as we know
Earth is the only planet that inhabits
life. Earth is a Goldie lock planet
because it is not too hot or too cold.

Mars is the last planet related to earth.
The rest are gas giants. Mars is known
as the red planet because it has a lot
of a material like rust. There is water ice on
mars.It has a thin atmosphere of carbon
dioxide and oxygen.There are two
special robots traveling around mars
right now.

Jupiter comes next and is a gas giant.It
is so big that you have to take eleven
earths to come across it. Jupiter has
at least sixty seven moons. People
can't land on Jupiter because it is made
of gases, there is no ground to land on
and is covered in storms.

Saturn is another gas giant famous
for its beautiful rings. The rings are
made up of many rocks and dust.
Even though Saturn is very large, it is
not very dense. So, if you found a
bathtub big enough it will float.
