My name is Bill Gates, founder
of Microsoft.

My Biography of Bill GatesMy name is William Henry Gates III, AKA Bill
Gates, The Founder of Micro-Soft, and that
stands for Microchip Software.

This is Seattle, my home .
Where I'm FromI was born in Seattle on October 28, 1955. I have
one older sister and one annoying younger sister.
A mom and a dad that support me very well.

Family BackgroundMy family was a mid-upper class family who
lived in Seattle, Washington. I have two
sisters, one older and one younger.
My parents were always very supportive of my
school work and athletics. They wanted me to
be successful. My family was very, very
competitive. I would always enjoy spending
time with my mom and my dad from time to
time.

This school should be
better. That last
one was too easy!

This school ismore challenging.

School and AcademicsI was a very smart kid, and my parents moved
me to a private school, Lakeside Private School
exactly. I was always into computers. Paul
Allen and I would later become business
partners and create Micro-Soft. And I started
Hacking at the age of 13!

Struggles I wasn't much of a struggler. I only struggled
in a few things that didn't really matter, like a
few board games. I also wasn't the fastest of
them all. I was really really smart and excelled
in schoolwork. One major struggle is that I felt
bored and insecure at times.

High School This is my high school, Lakeside Prep School.
This is my private school that I switched to
after my parents decided that the public school
wasn't challenging enough. I would always
enjoy hacking and because of hacking in the
computer lab I was suspended from school.

So this iswhat Harvard
is like?
Yeah
CollegeI went to Harvard University were I met my
soon business partner Paul Allen. But Allen and
I later would drop out, even though we were
excelling in all subjects and start a business.
We made a computer ingenuity place where we
made the traf-o-data which failed.

Early CareersThe traf-o-data failed due to lack of efficacy
and data.

Early Micro-SoftAllen and I developed the first version of the
Micro-Soft computer on April 4, 1975, in
Albuquerque, NM. Microsoft wasn't that
successful at first because like any new
careers, nobody knew about it, the original
console,
Windows 1.0. Windows 1.0 was a little box a
screen and a mouse with a whole bunch of
cords, and it was annoying. Later paul Allen
would get sick and break up the business.
