It was the day before, my aunt and I were at her
house. We packed all the stuff that was at the house
that we would need. Next, she packed all the stuff my
cousin Sean would need to stay at my house with Devon
while we were gone. Finally, we went to my house and
I carefully packed my backpack and put a load of
clothes in the washer. Sean went upstairs and slept on
one of the bunk beds in the green room. My Aunt Kate
and I laid in my bed and watch “Top Gun”. Well, it was
more like we laid in bed and talked with “Top Gun” on in
the background. I had to stay awake until the clothes
were done so I could put them in the dryer. So we
looked at the band line up and decided who we had to
see and who we wanted to see. Eventually, we fell
asleep.

“Brooke, wakeup, it’s five” said Kate. I
rolled out of bed to get ready. Mom was
awake I could hear her walking around
upstairs. I went upstairs, brushed my teeth
and washed my face. I came back down stairs,
put on my black eyeliner and mascara; put my
short black hair into a little pony tail and got
dressed. I put on a loose medium grey colored
tank top and dark grey shorts. I grabbed my
Batman backpack and put a few more items in
it. I picked up my black blanket and folded it
and grabbed my pillow with a purple pillow
case on it. Kate was ready before me; she
grabbed her things and we both went upstairs.
My mom was almost ready.

“Hold on girls, let me get my shoes on,” mumbled my
mother as she slid on her shoe. “Okay, let’s go.”
So we all went to the little gold car. We were using my
grandma’s car because it’s cheaper on gas than my
mom’s truck. We stopped at Kum&Go up the street from
my house and bought pop and snacks. I picked out a
Mountain Dew and a beef stick. We then went to my
grandma’s house to use the bathroom and grab tissues,
because we forgot.

Finally we were on our way to Shakopee,
MN. I don’t remember much of the car ride,
I know we stopped at a Mc Donald’s for
breakfast, and stopped at a Casey’s. We went
twenty minutes out of our way so my mom
could take a picture with a sign for a town
named Odin; Odin is my dog’s name. We
stopped at the “Welcome to Minnesota” sign
and took a picture standing next to it. Now
considering I’m only five foot three, I look
very small next to the giant sign.
We stopped at one more at a gas station
when we got to our destination and used the
restrooms and grabbed more snacks and pop.
While my mom pumped gas and bought
cigarettes, I fixed my makeup, outlining my
dark brown eyes in black eyeliner.

Mom and Kate got back in the car and we were
on our way to the park where the event was
held. When mom finally pulled up I thought my
heart was going to explode.
My mom dropped us off and said “Call or
text me when you’re done and I’ll come get
you. I’m probably going to go sit at a truck
stop or something.”
“Okay mom. Bye, love you,” I replied.
“I love you, too.”
I was finally there, I have been waiting
3 years for this. I saw the sign, Warped Tour.
Kate and I found the tent where I could buy my
ticket and Kate would get her “one free parent
per child/teen” wrist band. We got in, and
waited to get our backpack checked, and kept
walking.

Keep in mind we were at the top of a hill and
all the bands were below us, so when you
looked out in was like a sea of people, stages
and tents. We waited and walked around
looking at stuff. I bought a CD and tipped
some guys whose tent was stolen and they
were trying to buy another one.
“Thanks little lady,” said the guy who handed
me the CD.
“You’re welcome,” I replied while blushing.
We saw a little bit of Juliet Simms
set, we then stood where Pierce the Veil
would be doing signings. I had to have a wrist
band to get a picture with them, and when we
went to get one they were gone. So we just
walked over there so we could see them.

Kate got a picture of the band; it’s a really
dark picture but I can see the members. Vic is
so much prettier in person. We played in the
water a lot while we were there, it was
really hot that day.
We watch some of Beartooth’s set while
waiting, then went over to the Black Veil
Bride stage about a half an hour before they
would start. I was four or five rows of
people away from being in the very front. As
we waiting a rapper named “Riff Raff” was
playing next to our stage and I though my ears
were going to bleed. There was this really tall
guy standing right in my view, so I tapped on
the girl in front of me and asked,
