I can't wait to have fun while at the movies!
Hi! My name is Ava! I am a happy, bubbly
seven-year-old who’s in the first grade. I may
be small for my age, but I have a BIG
personality! I LOVE to talk ALL THE TIME, and
I’m not always quiet. I have ADHD, which
makes it difficult to sit still. This makes outings
like a trip to the movie theater difficult for me,
but I am so excited to spend the day with
Mommy and Daddy and watch my new favorite
movie! I want to follow the rules so they take
me out again.

In order to get to the movies I will need to sit
through a car ride. I will buckle my seat belt
and I will keep the seat belt on. Even though I
want to get out of my seat and be loud because
I'm excited, I will stay in my seat. I will be quiet
and not distract my parents driving.

When we get to the movie theater, it is time to buy
our tickets.
There will be lots of other people that want to go to
the movies, too. I might have to stand in a line

In line, I will be good and patient. I will stand next
to Mommy and Daddy and we will walk closer to
the ticket seller as the line moves.
When it is our turn, I will be quiet while Mommy
and Daddy talk to the ticket seller. This will make
my Mommy and Daddy very proud of me!

Great behavior, Ava!
Awesome job! We love you!

Before going into the theater, I get to go to the
snack station with Mommy and Daddy. I'm told
that I can only order one snack and one drink,
but I really want multiple types of candy and
sugary treats. I feel angry and upset, and I
want to start screaming and crying to get what
I want.

Instead, I will listen to my parents because I
don't want to be laughed at by kids my age. My
Mommy and Daddy know what's best and the
sooner we finish at the snack station... the
sooner I get to watch the super fun movie!

After I take my seat in
the theater, It's time
to let all of the sillies
out before the
previews start. Once
they start, I will wait
quietly for the movie.
If I need to speak to
Mommy or Daddy, I
will do so quietly.
