This is the story of an old man who shared 

his life with me. He talked to me about 

what he likes, his hobbies, what he did for 

living, how he met the most important 

person in his life and how all these 

experiences make him who he is now. He 

showed me the true values of life and how 

to be a responsible person.

*My grandpa was born in Zacatecas, 

Mexico. 

*He lived in a small community. 

*He was an only child and he 

enjoyed working in the field.

Some of my grandpa's hobbies 

include;

*Reading

*To Walk around the park

* Collect coins

* collect newspaper/books

The only transportation that my 

grandpa used was a bicycle due to the 

fact that cars used to be very expensive 

back then. He also rode the bus. The 

bus was the most common 

transportation at the time or a taxi.

When my grandpa was in high school,he met 

Julia Flores who became his wife later in life. 

He finish high school but never did a career 

because where he lived colleges didn't have as 

many career as we do now. He had 2 

daughter and 2 sons. 

My grandpa never had any problems with the 

law. Other students at schools would pick on 

him and would start a fight with him, but he 

never really ever started one. He was very 

calm and patient. He regrets not having spent 

more time with his sons because during his 

adulthood he would work long shifts on the 

field.

When my grandpa was married he didn't have 

a favorite food because he said that,"as long as 

I had something to give to my children nothing 

else matter". He also said that "most people 

only think about themselves on what to eat 

instead of thinking of what other people might 

be going trough.

My grandpa's favorite pet were dogs he 

said that he only had two, but one ran 

away and was never seen and the 

other one died because of how old it 

was. He never liked cats or other 

animals as pets ,but he enjoyed 

spending time with his dogs.

The fears that my grandpa faced during his 

adulthood was not being able to support his 

family economically. He also worried about 

that he wouldn't be able to afford college to his 

sons and daughters, but he did and he worked 

very hard for this to happen.

The advice that my grandpa gave me 

to future generations was, "Always do 

what you parents tell you to do, you 

may argue with them but they are your 

parents and we only get them once. I 

regret making my father mad because 

now that I don't have i wish he could be 

with me."

The proudest moment in my grandpa's 

life was when he saw his sons and 

daughters graduated. He says that he 

worked really hard for their graduation. 

He says he is proud of them because 

they never let him down and because 

they were very responsible when it 

came to school.
