lewis and william clark to go out and explore
the new land and on they way they were joined
by a native american women by the name of
Sacajawea.

land from making any territory the france held
in the United states out the window.


GovernmentThe government had to give up the
$15,000,000 to give to france. Also, Jefferson
couldn't just up and buy 828,000 square miles
and not tell anyone.

territory to the United States for $15,000,000
during the french war.

PurchaseThe United States spent $15,000,000 on
the territory that now is Arkansas, Iowa,
Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska,
parts of Minnesota and Louisiana west of
Mississippi River, including New Orleans, big
parts of North and east New Mexico, South
Dakota, north Texas, parts of Wyoming,
Montana, and Colorado.
