Once upon a time in a kings court, there was a 

party. The most important people that day were 

Duke Theseus, his Fiancée the Amazon Hippolyta, 

Demetrius a rich man who loved Hermia, Lysander 

who also loved Hermia, and Helena, Hermia’s best 

friend who loved Demetrius, Egeus the frustrated 

father, and Hermia who loved Lysander back. 

“Hermia,” Demetrius said to the blonde haired girl. 

Yes, Demetrius,” Hermia replied annoyed. The two of 

them were alone on a foot bridge, while all the other 

party goers milled around..  

“Hermia, dearest I have something to ask you.” “Yes?” 

“Will you marry me?” he says with the most serious look 

on his face. 

“Demetrius, I cannot marry you for I do not love

 you.” Hermia says almost laughing. 

 “You’re father says that it shall be so.” 

By now the party goers have stopped 

and begun listening in on their 

conversation.

 “I cannot marry you Demetrius. I thank 

you for your proposal, but I cannot 

accept.” Hermia says running away 

from the party and to her room in the 

Dukes home.

Listening to Hermia and Helena 

talk, Oberon the hatter gets an 

idea. He tells his friend Puck the 

Cheshire cat, to go and get a 

love potion from the evil 

Jabberwocky. Puck does as he is 

told, but not very happily. The 

Jabberwocky is a scary half witch 

woman half falcon monster. So 

scary we cannot even show you 

her in this book for you may run 

screaming away! 

 When Puck approaches the Jabberwocky, she flaps her 

giant dark wings to scare him, and cackles. “What is it 

you need Cat?” she asks. He sits down at a table in front 

of potions. “Uh... A love potion?” Puck says slowly. “You 

don’t know what you need?” “Yes, I need a love potion.” 

The jabberwocky gives him the love potion. Puck returns 

to Oberon and gives him the potion. “Now, Puck, 

tomorrow we’re going to somehow slip this into Helena’s 

lovers eyes.” “Sounds good, sir.” Puck says with a silly 

grin on his face.

The next morning Helena, and Hermia, decide to take a walk about 

the castle grounds. 

“We’re running away Helena,” Hermia tells her. “What?”

 “Lysander and I we’re running away.”

 “Away to where?” Helena asks confused. 

“We don’t know yet, but we’re leaving tonight.” 

“Oh, Hermia, I’m so jealous of you! I would never have power to do 

that.” Helena says with a mysterious smile on her face. “Oh, thank 

you Helena.” 

Hermia smiles, and keeps walking. They walk in silence, keeping 

their thoughts to themselves. Hermia daydreams about the life she 

and Lysander will have when they are finally married. Helena is 

hatching a plan to hopefully help her win Demetrius. 

In the dark of the night, Hermia, sneaks out to run 

away with Lysander.They are in a dark forest where 

the moon is out and bright. While, Helena hoping 

that maybe if she tells Demetrius what Hermia is 

doing he’ll leave Hermia alone, and fall in love with 

her runs to tell him. Instead though after she tells 

him, Demetrius runs after Hermia and Lysander, 

quietly following them quietly. Helena seeing that 

her plan pretty much backfired follows after 

Demetrius. The four of them don’t know what kind 

of trouble they’re headed for, but will soon be 

finding out that love is a more complicated thing 

that is expected. 

Meanwhile, back in Wonderland, the magical home of 

Puck, Oberon, and their friends Oberon is having a 

squabble with his wife Titania. Titania, is known as the 

white queen. She is beautiful, with blonde hair and 

always in white. 

“Titania just give me the boys!” 

“Oberon, if you want it so badly go get your own!” They 

are fighting over two boys name tweedledee and 

tweedledum, a very rare children around the world. 

Titania wanted them so much that she flew out of 

Wonderland, and halfway around the world to another 

magical world called Sunnyvine, where only a few of 

these twins remain. 

“No, Titania, I want yours! I am your husband, 

and you my wife so do as I say.”

 Titania rolls her dark eyes knowing that he’ll 

give up eventually. The white court is standing 

around, them watching in amusement the 

things going on around them. “Dearest 

Oberon, please just give it up. I got them, so I 

get to keep him.”

They go on fighting for hours about the boys 

and who will be its owner.  

Lysander and Hermia, are slowly making their way through the woods 

toward a small cottage. 

“Lysander, I’m tired let’s stop for awhile,” Hermia whines. 

“Alright we’ll stop.” As they sit down it begins to sprinkle slightly. 

“Oh no!” Hermia whines even more. “It’s raining.” 

“Look, there’s a hole in that tree, it’s pretty wide we can take 

shelter there.” The two of them crawl into the hole, and begin falling.

 The two of them are screaming, wondering how on earth they 

could be falling through a hole in a tree.

Hermia lands hard on the ground. “Lysander?” 

She calls. “Lysander!!”   He is nowhere to be 

found though. Then Hermia begins to realize 

where she is. Wonderland. She hasn’t visited 

for years, but she’s never forgotten where it is. 

This place though isn’t like the Wonderland she 

remembers, it’s different somehow. Either way 

she is tired and decides to go to sleep.

“Ow, Helena, get off of 

me! Why are you 

following me in the 

first place?”Demtrius 

yells. He and Helena, 

have just fallen 

through the same 

whole that Lysander 

and Hermia fell into. 

“Why would I be 

following you? I 

decided to take a 

walk.” Helena lies. 

“Right, the exact same way that I’m going to follow 

Hermia, and Lysander.” He says not believing her.

 “Yes, why’s it any of your business anyways?”

 Demetrius sighs, and starts to walk away. 

“Wait you can’t just leave me here there could be 

frightening creatures!” 

“Well you figured out how to follow me here figure 

out, how to leave. And what on earth is wrong with 

the way you look?” Demetrius turns walking away. 

Helena, follows anyway calling after him, ignoring 

the last comment. 

Puck, finds Lysander asleep 

on the ground in the forest. 

Oh yay the lover is here. He 

thinks to himself. Then he 

hears Helena making her 

way through the forest. Puck 

sprinkles the love potion into 

his eyes, and stirs him as 

Helena is nearly there. Puck 

vanishes out of sight. 

Lysander sits up, stretching and 

sees Helena. Something clicks 

inside of him, making him love her. 

“Oh, sweet redheaded, Helena, 

how I love you.” Lysander says. 

“Uhm, Lysander, I think you have 

me confused with Hermia. Either 

way I gotta go find Demetrius.” 

Helena says walking, away after 

Demetrius. Lysander following after 

her. 

"Knave of red! Where have you been?” 

A soldier in red covered with hearts 

asks. “What?” Demetrius says confused. 

“The queen has disappeared too do you 

know where she is?” 

“The Queen?” 

“Yes, Queen Helena of Red.” Demetrius 

laughs a loud laugh. “Helena? A 

queen?” He says laughing again. The 

soldier grabs his arm, and pulls him 

onto a horse. The two of them go 

trotting away to the Queen’s palace. 

Riding away, Demetrius is still laughing. 

It’s so funny it’s not even close to 

believable. He thinks over and over.

Back at the White Queen's palace, Oberon has planned to use the 

love potion on Titania so that he can steal the twin boys away from 

her. He has Puck bring him the mixture, and slowly sprinkles it into 

her sleeping eyes. Puck being a very naughty cat, thinks that it 

would be funny to make Titania fall in love with herself. He takes a 

mirror and places it in front of her face, while Oberon shakes her 

awake. Her eyes open, and when Titania sees herself she feels the 

same click that Lysander felt when seeing Helena. Only she feels it 

for herself. "Oh my, I'm extremely beautiful, it's a wonder I never 

noticed before" Oberon and Puck giggle wildly and sneak off to take 

the twins.  

Helena, is in the palace of The Queen Of Red. She was shocked 

when she saw herself in a mirror. Her head is gigantic with 

flaming red hair on top of it. Then there;s Demetrius, his hair 

turned dark and he has a heart shape eye patch over one eye. 

The people fawn over her, and give her anything she wants. 

Even a warm pig for her feet. Helena really enjoys the treatment 

she is getting. The one thing she still needs is for Demetrius to 

love her. She made the guards keep him with her though. 

"Your majesty, there is 

someone here to see you." A 

servant says. With a wave of 

her arm she tells the servant 

to bring the person in. In 

walks Lysander. 

"Helena, oh lovely Helena. I 

don't know how to describe 

you. You are     

my queen." 

"Lysander, you are confused 

you love Hermia," Helena 

says even more confused 

than she was before.

"No, I love you. I used to love 

her but now I don't! Now 

please let me stay here fair 

queen." Helena lets him stay 

and he stands with 

Demetrius. 

Hermia, is wondering around wonderland trying to figure out what 

is different about the place, and to find Lysander. She enters the 

red queens where she finds both Lysander and Demetrius. 

"Hermia! Darling!" Helena screeches. Hermia gives her a strange 

look. "It's me Hermia, Helena!"

"Helena?" Helena shakes her enormous head yes. "Lysander, I've 

been looking all over for you." He ignores Hermia. She goes to 

touch his shoulder.
