Ancient River Valley Era
A long, long time ago, people switched from huntingand gathering to agriculture. Food became easy to get.
People started living together; they began a civilization.
This was called the Neolithic Revolution. They started to
settle in one area instead of being nomadic. That led to
domestication of animals for food and labor. By doing so,
they didn't have to hunt them. As they began living together,
they realized they couldn't all farm the same things or make a
living the same way. Specialization was born, everyone did
something different to support the village. They did so by
bartering, or trading without money.

What If People Had Not Learned
How To Farm?
People would still be nomadic hunter-
gatherers, they probably would never live
together to create a civilization. Therefore,
people would've never become civilized.

Classical Greece/Rome
The Greek and Romans were very famous, even to thisday for being smart and powerful. They were the first
to create a republic with a democratic system. Because
they did this, most governments have followed their smarter
ways. They were also famous for philosophy. Their great
leaders include Alexander The Great and Caesar, who have
both conquered an eye-opening amount of land in history.

What If Athens Had Not Embraced
Democracy?
All the advanced countries that stand today
would be led by dictators and tyrants. Kings
and Queens would've ruled as they did in the
middle ages. Only a hand-full of people would
hold any power to do as they wished.

Post Classical Asia
Eastern Asia was reached by the Silk Roads by Europeans asa trade route. Before European trade, China was free of their
influence, yet the Chinese were similarly or more advanced.
Their technology was more advanced, the people were
assimilated to be united as a country under a centralized
government, and they believed in religious tolerance of most
faiths.

What If The Mongols Had Not Opened
The Silk Road To Safe Travels?
East Asia would've been more isolated
from European or western influence. The
Mongols were smart to open them up, for
trade flourished between the West and
East.

Medieval Europe
The Middle ages were of that of other stories, ones withkings, knights, and etc. In the average castle system, a Lord
owned the land which serfs worked in. A king would rule over
lords, and so would his clergy and nobles. This era is known
for the Magna Carta and the Crusades.

What If Pope Urban Had Not Launched
The Crusades?
The religious turmoil between Christianity
and Islam that still rages on today might
have been prevented.

Renaissance/Reformation
The Renaissance was a time of improvement. This was when the reformation happened, and the protestant faith
was born. Numerous patrons supported artists, technology
improved, humanism was celebrated in every subject.

What If The Catholic Church Had Been
Quicker To Address Martin Luther?
The Reformation would have occured, but
perhaps the protestant denomination
wouldn't have been born.
