Once upon a time there was a kitten named Coaling. Coaling was named after coal because of is black fur. The rest of the litter was white, including his mom. "Coaling! Time for breakfast!", his mother shouted to him one morning. Coaling walked into the kitchen tired and hungry. He had saw that is siblings had ate most of his food. Coaling ate the last five pieces if cat food, and walked outside for some fresh air.

2
Coaling sat outside gazing over the field. He wondered what it was like to be a dog or a horse or even a human. A few weeks later Coaling and his siblings would be sent to new homes with different owners. A few weeks after that all of Coaling's brothers, and sisters were sold to new homes. Coaling was the only one left. His owner brought him to the shelter where she was sure he would find an owner.

3
Sure enough, Coaling found and owner, but not the one he was exactly planning of. She was a 26 year old lady that was a crazy cat lover. The lady nuzzled Coaling on his nose. He hissed at her, but still she would not let go. Coaling scrambled and tried to squeeze out of her arms, but still she clung on tight.

4
When Coaling got to the lady's house she had her name on the door. It said "Heather The Cat Lover's House... Welcome!". Heather brought Coaling inside. He took one look at that room and almost screamed. It was full of cats. Loaded of them. They were jumping everywhere. Heather said she gotta new cat every week! She walked over to her favorite cat and gave him a treat.

5
As soon as Heather was sound asleep in her bed, Coaling opened the window and ran outside. He jumped on a truck and he slept in it for the whole night. He woke up in the middle of the night noticing that he had fell in the crack of the seat.

6
The next morning Coaling woke up looking out of a window of New Hampshire. He just sat there puzzled for a while then remembered he had been in a shipping truck for the whole night. An hour later, the shipping man came back in the truck. Coaling ducked hoping the man would not see him. But then the man said, "Well, we are of to New York home sweet home!" Coaling was worried.

7
Coaling was now in New York. The man spotted him and he said "Aye ya little pussy cat! Whatcha doin in here all alone with no owner? Ain't you gotta home? Well I'll bring ya to the town see if ya like them people that live here!" Coaling sat there in confusion. He did not understand this man's aints and whatchas and yas.

8
The man's name was Jayran. Jayran was about 53 years old. Jayran brought Coaling out in the town. Even though Coaling did not understand Jayran's type of sayings, he loved this man like an owner. Coaling purred when he talked and when he was quiet he licked Jayran's arms to keep him clean, as if he was another cat. Jayran had put Coaling in a blanket to keep him safe and warm.

9
"Well little pussy cat." Jayran started. "Looks like ya got a tour of the town! Time for ya to go out on your own and be a street cat. I will sure miss ya though ya scruffy little thin." He put Coaling in a paper bag and he walked away. Coaling mewed and meowed for him to come back, but he said, "Sorry little pussy! I ain't got enough money to take care of ya! If I do, I'll surely come back lookin for ya!"

10
Coaling was now lost alone in New York. He was scared. He walked around looking for someone that would feed him or take him in. But he wanted Jayran. He walked on the streets. People did not pay attention and kicked him everywhere he ran away trying to not get kicked.
