Aa is for Anteater, he uses his long nose and tongue to eat ants and termites. They can be found in tropical forests and grasslands.

Bb is for butterfly, found in all kinds of colors. They pollinate flowers as they flit from flower
to flower.

Cc is for crocodile with a strong jaw and sharp teeth to eat fish and amphibians. They live near water like rivers and swamps.

Dd is for dolphins they live in the ocean. Dolphins can jump out of water and swim in pods.

Ee is for eagle flying high in the sky. These birds of prey like to hunt
from the air. They have excellent vision and can pluck a fish out of water.

is for flamingo, they are big birds found in Florida. These birds eat plenty of shellfish. This causes their feathers to be pink or red in color.

Gg is for giraffe, the tallest animal on Earth, they live in the African savanna.
They eat the leaves from the top of the tall trees that other animals don't reach.

Hh is for honeybee, they live in huge colonies of thousands of bees. The queen bee is larger than all the other bees and lays all the eggs of the colony.

Iiis for iguana, they are plant eating, tree-dwelling lizards. Their long claws help them to climb and their skin turns darker while they bask in the sun.

Jj is for jaguar they are part of the cat family. The jaguar stalks its prey by watching and listening for signs of movement on the forest floor.

Kk is for key deer, they are near extinction.

Ll is for lion fish, a colorful and bold marine fish. They have spines with venom. These fish have become invasive off the Florida coast & Carribean.

Mm is for manatee, they are the cows of the sea. They are a large, slow moving, herbivore marine mammal. They must swim up to the water's surface to take a breath of air.

Nn is for newt with rough skin and bright colors to warn predators to stay away. They have toxins in their skin to defend themselves. They require moist habitats such as caves, forests, wetlands and streams.

Oo is for orca, they are known as killer whales and are black & white. Like dolphins they swim in pods, jump out of water and have a single blow hole. They are predators who hunt for fish, seals, sea lions and even birds.

Pp is for panda, they live in China's bamboo forests. They only eat bamboo and spend all day eating. This animal is a mammal.

Qq is for quail, a relative of chickens & turkeys. These are ground dwelling birds, that live in groups called conveys.

Rris for rattlesnake, a snake with venom, poor vision and limited hearing.The use of their forked tongue gives them an incredible sense of smell. When they shake the scales on its tail, it makes a rattle sound.

Ss is for sloth, they live in rainforests, spending almost all their time in trees. They have hook-shaped claws they use to grab on to a tree branch as they chew slowly through a leaf.

Tt is for tiger, like all cats they groom themselves by using their tongue and teeth. Tigers were once widespread in Asia but are now endangered. At night they use their whiskers to help them navigate and hunt.

Uu is for urchin, they are spiny, pointy tips found on the bottom of the ocean floor. They are mostly herbivores, nocturnal feeders. Their mouth is in
the center of their body.

Vv is for vulture, birds that prefer their food dead. They are commonly known as scavangers. These birds are bald to help them stay clean when they are eating an animals leftovers.

Ww is for wolves, members of the dog family. They are carnivores and hunt in packs. Some wolves live on snowy mountains and others live in grassland areas.

Xx is for x-ray tetra fish with a highly transparent body. They live in large groups, found in the Amazon. They feed mostly on small insects and plankton animals.

Yyis for yellow-eyed penguins found in New Zealands sub Antartic Islands. They nest in pairs instead of colonies like other penguins. They like to nest under trees and logs so they can hide from other birds. They are most social after they molt.
