Once upon a time, there was a young boy named Maximus who enjoyed the sport of discus. He would practice every day outside his home. For those who do not know what the sport of discus is, it is when you get a weighted plate and throw it as far as you can with all your might.

But his father Alexius was one of the best boxers the world has ever seen. He never lost a match and would also win from a knockout. His father hated the sport of discus and never wanted his son to play. He wanted his son to become a boxing great like he was when he was young.

So Alexius would take Maximus out to practice boxing everyday. Maximus hated boxing so much but did not want to tell his dad. His true passion was the discus. His dad would always say this when they workout, "One day you will be a great like me your old man!"

After they worked out Maximus would go and throw the discus. One day his dad followed him to see what he was doing, when Alexius saw him throwing the discus he flipped out. He yelled "What are you doing? No son of mine will play such a sport!"

Maximus was scared of his father wrath and tried to lie to his dad to get out of it. But his Alexius got even madder when he tried to lie. Alexius yelled again, "Maximus if I ever see you playing this sport I will ground you for life!" Maximus was scared and followed his dad's orders and went home with him.

All Maximus could think about is discus and how far he can throw it. So one day he snuck out late at night to go and throw the discus. When Maximus went out to throw the discus he noticed someone watching him, but he did not care he just wanted time to throw the discus. After about ten throws the mystery man started to approach and Maximus started to get scared.

When the man started to approach Maximus started to see his face. He was an older man with some wrinkles and marks on his face. He had a very loud and old sounding voice. He said " Maximus you do not know who I am but I know who you are. I am one of the best trainers from all around the world." Maximus just looked at him with amazement.

Maximus knew this day would come but not like this. The trainer then said, "My name is Troy if you want to work with me meet me at eight in the wheat fields." Maximus nodded his head and ran home before his parents knew he was out.

Maximus had to sneak out of work to get to the field in time to see the Troy. When he got to the field troy was sitting there just waiting for him. Maximus walk to him and asked, "Where is the workout things?" troy looked at him and laughed he told Maximus, "Run around the city twice."

Maximus did not want to get off the wrong foot with his new coach Troy so he started to run. At first Maximus thought that running was pretty boring and had nothing to do with the discus throw. Maximus than started to enter his city and he noticed things he never noticed before.

When he rounded the corner to the main part of town he saw kids playing one of his favorite games knuckle bones. He than keep on running on was facing a the main temple in his city. He than turned to corner and saw... his dad. He was looking for Maximus

Maximus quickly hide from his dad and ran back to the field were troy was waiting for him to finish. Troy looked up at the sky and said "that took you about an hour! You need to speed up if you want to throw the discus farther. Maximus tired and annoyed just looked at Troy.
