After the French Revolution and the Reign of Napoleon, France was drastically changed.During his reign, Napoleon ended the financial crisis in France, got rid of the unequalclass system, made public schools, created a law code, and ceased the Enlightenmentideas of democracy in France. All of this led to glory for France and conflicts over thegovernment. It alsopaved the way for the Congress of Vienna (1815)because of theconflicting demandsfor different governments to be put in place (they wanted toprevent future French aggression, restore monarchs to power in Europe,
and maintain the balance of power). The result of the Congress of Vienna was forty
years of peace in Europe until 1848 when the liberals and radicals sparked more
revolutions for democracy.
