"Wake up it’s snowing!" explained Samantha. Drew got up right away to see little white specks of snow drifting down from the dark gray sky but he wasn’t that excited because they see a lot of snow in Pittsburgh.

“It had to have been at least eight inches deep already" Drew shouted. Drew rushed down the stairs to get his snow gear on.

When they sprinted outside they were already freezing cold.

"How long should we stay out here?" Samantha asked.

"I don't know maybe for 30 or 40 minutes" Drew explained. "Actually I don't know maybe we should go inside it’s getting really cold and the snow is getting really heavy” Drew shouted.

Heavy Snow

"Yeah let’s hurry inside, my fingers feel like they're getting frostbite" murmured Samantha. They ran inside as fast as they could and had a nice warm bowl of chicken noodle soup. "Yum!” Samantha shouted.

"It’s so good,"Drew yelled!

Moving

"You are right I always loved a nice warm bowl of chicken noodle soup after being outside for so long” Drew explained.

"Look at it outside” Samantha shouted.

Drew's mom came sprinting down the stairs saying we are going to move.

“What!" Drew screamed.

Mom explained, "Uncle Joe is going to help us get out but, he might not be able to get here."

"Are you sure he should do that, it is really dangerous outside and look at it" Drew shouted. "Are we going to be OK?” Drew

asked.

Mom explained, “Yes I hope so, but don’t worry."

“Oh no there is a leak in the ceiling, it’s going to flood” Drew screamed.

The Flight

"We had better get down to the airport” mom explained.

Drew shouted “Where are we going?"

Mom answered "California."

"What!" Drew screamed.

The New House

"I think that scream was so loud that California heard it, and we definitely don't want to scare what might be our new neighbors" Samantha explained. Before they knew it they were seated on the plain. The pilot announced, "We might have to stop somewhere because of the storm but stay calm and get your seat belts on."

"Ahh are we going to be OK" Samantha shouted.

"Here said a passenger it's a teddy bear it will make you feel better" the passenger explained. But soon the pilot announced, "We are going to land in California in two minutes." Drew and Samantha were on their way to their new house.

"Look there is a hole in the ceiling like our old house and the sink doesn't work" Drew shouted. "Now we are going to have to call somebody to come and fix it“ Drew explained.

"You guys are sharing a room” mom explained. “Whattttt!! We're sharing a room!” shouted Samantha."Did that scream scare our new neighbors because I just heard a knock on the door?"

Drew explained."But it was just one of our new neighbors greeting them" Drew explained.

"His name was Sam and they all started shaking hands with him, he seemed really nice" Samantha explained.

Sam explained, "I know of a good baseball team that has kids Drew's age they are called the Del Mar Hurricanes"

“That sounds like a good team for me” Drew explained. Before Drew knew, it was the first practice and Drew introduced himself to the other kids and they seemed really nice. “The next thing we did were drills they were fun but, hard” Drew explained.

After practice Drew’s dad and him always go and get ice - cream for a dessert. When Drew went home he notice that it had all of their old furniture in it and it felt weird at first but, he got used to it. But he also noticed the hole was bigger and it was leaking a little. Drew was thinking that sharing a room with Samantha wasn’t so bad after all Before he knew it, was the first day of school and at the new school everybody greeted Drew.
