KABOOM CRASH KABOOM BAM BOOM.
THE WORLD EXPLODED. Screams filled the silence and if someone had looked from up above it would have looked like no one had survived. But how very wrong they were. Six kids had survived the explosion that tore apart the world. Their names were Luna Atticus, Indrina Gende, Jade Peter Rilyah Combe and Kaden Bieber. Oh and Connor Bran.
Mustn't forget him.
This is the start of our story.
2

Luna
Luna woke up. She felt groggy. Then she opened her brown hazelnut eyes.
A too bright sun hit her pale face and chirpy bird noises filled her ears.
3
She stretched yawning and shoved her shoulder length brown hair out of her eyes. Her first thought was Monday, school, but it was drowned in tiredness.
Was this a joke she wondered. She realized she was in a jungle. Thick creepers ran up the even thicker trees and large palm trees dwarfed the skies but nothing was compared to the giant pink beautiful ombre flamingo standing beside her. Just about to peck her eyeball out.
"Ahhhhhhh" she screamed. Thank goodness it was more scared of her tonsils than anything else. But her scream had awaken Rilyah.
4
Rilyah
Rilyah woke up. She had expected an alarm to ring and and just like every other day smell the cottage whip Mother Carla usually brewed in the morning which she made using yesterday's rotten food scraped from the bowel used for every other dish. There was a belief that it was never cleaned so who knows you could be eating 400 year old food and never realize it! Only thing was, she herself had been sentenced to wash up duty when she had tried to cut off Poppy's hair so she knew that at least it was hygienic.
5
But this morning was different. She had been sleeping on soft green grass and next to her was a huge waterfall with stones covered in green moss. She saw a huge flower with orange and red speckled leaves and a magnificent toucan swooped across the shining morning sun. She was in a rainforest and she felt happiness. But people next to her groaned and yawned the way normal people wake up and Rilyah quickly ran to the nearest tree, her knotty white hair tangled with the leaves as she watched out of the corner of her blue vibrant eyes. Rilyah had always been cautious.
6
Kaden
Oh yeah, Kaden thought. He was in a rainforest in a dream. Oh wait no. His rich father had decided to go on another holiday with his newly married supermodel Maya Brownfield. Not again! After visiting Hawaii and New Mexico, not to mention Holland and now the Amazon rainforest. But never fear all he had to do was pretend to cough and spew (or regurgitate the way his personal teacher says it) and his multi billionaire father who cared so much about his little boy and they would go home in their private jet. Then he could egg bomb arrogant and vain Maya and play on the Wii for seven hours straight.
7
But this time was different. He was not sleeping in his private 6 bedroom suite with his own toilet but near the far corner of a waterfall. He sat up and he saw two girls, one watching him with interest and the other with eyes like hawks. He immediately disliked that girl. The first girl jumped out.
All
"Hey my name is Luna Atticus, at your service, people." said Luna. There was one thing to be in a rainforest but to be with 5 other people she didn't even know was even more fantastic.
8
"Well let's cut it straight. What are we doing here. Because I don't know about you but I remember walking outside and then I heard a scream then silence. And the I woke up here like nothing happened." said the girl with the braces and the purple lipstick half smudged across her face. "Well I was told by Mom to get in the cellar and she was walking behind me with Samuel when I heard a earsplitting bang then I woke up here." said Connor.
They all shared their stories, each one resulting in a bang or an explosion and waking up here and they went on to be good friends. They also learned each other's names and together they braved the mighty jungle.
9
Connor
There were 3 girls and that posh boy who insisted on sleeping on moss instead of the thorn covered ground. He could already tell that the orphan girl Rilyah was not getting along with Kaden, the rich boy. They had walked through the river that had been beside them when they first woke up. Connor had figured out that Luna was the leader around here as she had organized the group into twos, making sure Rilyah and Kaden weren't together.
Indrina
Kaden had looked over and decided to take the piece of peach that had been sitting on her lap. Annoying, that was all he was.
10
It was nighttime and everyone was asleep except Jade and Luna. They had made a map concerning the rainforest. "If we go to the Barrack waterfalls, collect some crystal clear water then travel up Gorilla Peak then, find some food like mangos and pears then we can travel back here." said Luna. "Sounds like a great plan." Jade said but continuing on.
"So anyway do you know how we got here. I mean we are all so worried of our friends and our parents. You need to give me and them some comfort. Some love. Tell them everyone's alright." "But they aren't. Don't you know. Everyone's dead." said Luna harshly.
Jade fell asleep crying.
11
In the morning everyone woke up.
Of course Rilyah was first to wake up and seeing her opportunity to kick Kaden, kicked him so he rolled over a stone. The problem was then he was super grumpy. Grump grump grump all morning grump. Refusing to do anything and if Indrina could portray him it would be as an grumpy sloth moving slower than a snail. By now they had all realized no one was going to save them. It had already been 3 days and under Luna's strict command they had walked, as calculated by Connor, around about 72 kilometers. Food was scarce and it was usually mangos which sure enough was rotten and the occasional snake meat.
12
Rilyah
Poor Kaden she thought. As much of a stuck up spoilt brat he may be, that was how life was. Just like the unfairness that Rilyah didn't even know who her parents were. It was a new feeling to her sadness. She had been sad in many times in her life like when she could have escaped from that demented orphanage that she had lived in for more than 12 years of her life. If all he knew was his spoilt royal life then he would never know the true meaning of happiness.
Just when she had been feeling sorry for him he threw some mud at her."Yuck. I'm never feeling sorry for you again" she shouted angrily.
13
They had been trundling through the mud for the last hour or so. Finally they stopped at a large waterfall with crystal clear water.
Rilyah
Rilyah and Connor went exploring at the waterfall and came across a clearing. In the middle was a giant tree house. They rushed back to tell the others. "Hey guys we found a tree house, it's really big and woody. Wait that is not a word."said Connor. "Wow a real tree house in a real jungle. Man, that's just crazy! Why would anyone want to live in a jungle?"said Indrina. But then again it could have been from the locals. I mean it's not strange to build a treehouse in the most deserted place in the world, full of the most dangerous spiders in the world.
14
When Indrina thought about the spiders she rubbed her pale hand against her arm and she suddenly had the goose bumps."Well.......... there's a light coming from it, so if you guys don't mind and aren't going I'm totally checking it out. It seems really cool. What if a creepy ghost of a long lost pirate was living in there?"said Connor doing a pirate look and saying "Ahhh aye me pirates."He started to stand "Uh no missy... there's coconut bowls to be washed up and it's your turn." He looked at the coconut bowls next to Luna's feet then he looked at Luna and Jade. He rolled his eyes at them.
15
Connor
He couldn't believe washing up was more important than a long lost treehouse and he wasn't even sure if coconut shells needed cleaning. He sighed obviously having a older brother meant he wasn't in charge of washing, so instead he put on his sassy sister attitude and walked away like a girly girl making Luna and Jade burst into laughter.
