Hello readers! I'm Tommy the Turtle here to help you understand and know what Tornadoes are. My friend Oscar the Ostrich and I will help you today.

Hey Oscar! Are you ready to learn about tornadoes?
Hey,Tommy! Yes, let's go!
3

Okay, so we know that tornadoes are rotating columns of air that are in contact with both the surface of the earth and a cumulonimbus cloud.
Yes, we do. But do we know how to measure tornadoes? Let's go to the forest and explain!
4
There are two scales used to measure tornadoes. One is the EF scale that measures tornadoes based on wind damage.

The other scale is the Fujita scale or F scale that gives a number to a tornado and calculates how intense the damage is.

We should talk about how tornadoes can also form.
Wow! That's cool! What other things should we teach the readers about tornadoes?
7

Yes. I also think that we should teach the readers about safety precautions too.
Tornadoes can also form from lightning flashing and baseball-sized hail from the thunderstorms uplifting.
8

Some ways to see if tornadoes are coming your way are dark, often gray skies, large hail, a loud roar too.
Yes, you should watch out for that. We should also explain what you should do before and during a tornado. Let's go back to the forest!
9

You should also find shelter and have an emergency plan with your family and friends too.
Before a tornado, you should build an emergency kit with supplies that are useful.
10

During a tornado, if you are outside with no shelter you should lie under an area lower than the road.
Also, if you are in a manufactured home or office you should get out immediately and go to a stable building.
11
Sure! Tornadoes can occur from air pressure and they can occur in places with good weather conditions.
That's good that we taught them about safety. Know, we should tell our readers general information about tornadoes.

12

Also, tornadoes are counter-clockwise ( cyclone) and they have the power to destroy anything in its path.
Last, tornadoes are rotating, funnel-shaped clouds that extend from a thunderstorm to the ground with whirling winds.
